My wife and I with our three young children (8, 6, and 3) will be in Orlando Thursday, Oct 6 thru Monday, Oct 10. We want to visit MK 2 days, a water park (probably TL) one day, Sea World one day and do Epcot/MGM on the other day. Here's our tentative plan:

Thurs, 10/6 Water park (TL or BB)
Fri, 10/7 MK
Sat, 10/8 Sea World
Sun, 10/9 Epcot (morning and early aft), MGM (after that)
Mon, 10/10 MK

Our thoughts were to avoid MK on the weekend and we figured that most people visiting from out of town on the holiday weekend would be traveling back home on Monday. Of course, the local season pass holders will probably hit MK on Monday.

Any suggested adjustments to schedule to maximize our available time (and help us avoid the crowds) will be appreciated!

looks good. stick to monday for MK, spectro on that night. fridays are apparently the best days to do epcot

we'll be there also - dont forget that Thursday and Friday OCt 6 and 7 are MNSSHP Nights, so either get a ticket and stay till midnight, or know the MK closes at 6... (I vote get a ticket!! :wizard: we're going on the 6th, you dont need to use a park ticket to get in MK if you go around 4-5 with the MNSSHP ticket )

Also head's up at Epcot its the Food and Wine Festival, so its supposed to be crowded on weekends, but then again, lots more demos too - from what I've read!!

The Magic Kingdom closes at 6:00pm on 10/7 for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, in case you weren't aware of that. Not sure if it will affect your plans or not :)

Have a great time!

If it were me, Id skip Sea World and stick to Disney parks :rotfl:

HEHE...

If you are going to do the water park Why dont you get up and get there at opening, and only stay half a day. Then you can go back to your hotel, and hit a park at night. since you are planning on leaving Epcot early for MGM at night, why dont you hit MGM the evening you are at the water park. Then you can have a full day at Epcot and watch Illuminations!

We will be there the 6th-13th, visiting Sea World on the 8th too!! I'm still messing with our itinerary also.

We just came back. We did both TL and BB with kids 9,6 and 2. Let me start with my kids can both swim really well. They liked both, and did enjoy the wave pool at TL but we really liked BB for the

"Blizzard Beach Ski Patrol Training Camp - This pre-teen area has a rope swing, a T-bar , culvert slides and a fun ice-flow walk along slippery, floating icebergs. This is where you'll find Cool Runners - A wide-open inner tube slide area formed by rapidly-melting moguls." - from http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/guides/blizzard/blizzard.htm

It is an area with only one entrance so the kids had a bit of freedom to go where they wanted but we could pretty much see them at all times. There is a walk in pool where one of us played with the two year old. It was a nice break from going back and forth to the bigger rides and slides.

Hope you have a nice trip.

We are buying the 10-day (+5) non-expiring passes, so I hate to "waste" a day's pass for only a 1/2 day at one of the 4 major Disney Parks. I'm assuming that if you hop from a 'plus park' to a 'theme park', it will cost you a full 'plus' day and a 'regular' day?

The MNSSHP sounds interesting, but it would cost us about $160 extra (for 5 tickets) and with the times being 7 pm to midnight, I'm not sure we would be there longer than about 2 hours with our 3-yr old.

Why don't you do a half ay at TL and a half day at AK?

Wouldn't this cost us 2 days on our passes (one 'plus' day and one 'regular' day)?

Yes, it does cost two days that way. We usually do a whole day at the water park and then do downtown disney for the evening or go to Joe's for crabs - the waiters sing and dance and they have a playground for the kids.

How long do you plan on being at a water park with a 3 year old? If its only going to be until say.. 2.. you can hit epcot from 4-9.. thats 5 hours. Wouldnt be too big of a waste.

I think the waterparks are only open from 10 am to 5 pm, so we would probably stay all day. The 3 year old will do pretty well for a few shorter days without a nap, but would have trouble going from say 9 am to 9 pm without a nap.

One more question concerning the plus passes and hopping, it's my understanding that doing 1/2 day at a waterpark and the other 1/2 at something like Disney Quest would also use 2 days of plus passes. Is this correct? I didn't think that park hopping applied to the plus parks.
