I'm working on our itinerary for our trip. We will be there Fri, Feb. 13 to Wed, Feb 18. I love my plan BUT it has us at HS on Saturday 2/14, which has morning extra hours (we are staying at Hilton Doubletree in WDW).
My thought is that since it's really the first day of the vacation week, hopefully a lot of people will be traveling on that day and it won't be crazy busy. What does everyone think? My plan is perfect in every other way!

Many schools have the Friday before off or 1/2 day where we live in CNY.....so I wouldn't count on the crowds being low. I looked at a couple of crowd calendars and they have HS as the park to avoid. You may want to check out a few crowd calendars and make your own decision on that one. That week is pretty busy at all the parks so I don't think it is going to matter which park you go to.

We have always gone at park open and did the rides with high line expectancy first that we didn't have a problem.

As long as you have FP+ for the things that really matter, you'll probably be okay. It WILL be busy, and you are entering behind those who have an hour head start, but if you're mentally prepared for that, you'll do fine. Don't go in expecting lower crowds because it's Saturday.

Thanks for the replys.

Here's another question. If a park has morning extra magic hours, does it tend to be less crowded later in the day/evening? We could plan on going early afternoon and staying until close instead of morning to late afternoon. That would also give us a chance to see Fantasmic.

No. Crowds won't be heavy in the first few hows, but it will be way more crowded than the other parks in the afternoon.

I agree with the above. The park that has the Extra Magic hours on a busy week has a tendency to be the busy in late afternoon....

This is my crazy theory....people plan to go that park that day because of Magic Hours but over sleep or don't get out in time and end up there anyways. LOL!

An options for you, go early get everything done and then go home for a nap! And then go back for Fantasmic!
