Itchin' For Some Fun...12/10/09 - 12/14/09...Finished 3/17

We got back to our room at 1:00am, cleaned up, and hit the pillows. Tomorrow there would be no alarm. We would have a leisurely morning and then hit Downtown Disney!

Those pictures make me cold, because the last night I was in Magic Kingdom with snow falling on Main Street, it was cold enough to be real snow!

Yay for Big Thunder at night! It is very cool in the dark. And Splash twice - makes you feel like you're really getting a lot in when you can do that.

A magical late night at Magic Kingdom, sleeping until you wake up, and Downtown Disney... excellent. :thumbsup2

What a fun night you had! :cool1: Main street sure looks crowded, but I'm glad you had very short wait times for the rides. Great pictures! :santa:

I was hoping for a picture of your cinnamon bun!

It is hard to leave when you know it's your last time.

Wasnt that fog that rolled in weird??? It made the Castle look all misty!

Sounds like you had a blast at MVMCP! Everything at MK during Christmas time is so beautiful! :goodvibes

I don't blame you on the Splash ride---Once when we were there for MVMCP, (late November/early Dec), it was cold, you could take your choice of seats. Our family chose the last two seats, leaving the front two empty. The CM just shook her head. I had to tell her, "If it was July, I'd grab that front seat, but not at this time of the year!" :sad2: Cold and wet...not a good combination!

I was in the exact same spot as you during the fireworks at the Halloween party and I had the same experience. But I felt like you...I guess stayed there and took it in. I actually enjoyed the breathing room.

Isn't it great how many rides you can do during the party???? No one is on the rides. I tell you - if I ever visited when I didn't have a park ticket, I would so go on a party night and ride everything over and over and over.

I agree that both the outside mountains are so much more fun at night. I love them both. And I bet the nighttime view from Astro Orbiter was great! I have to look at your pics later tonight!

Wow those decorations are so pretty....I love the juxaposition of shorts and tanktops and then Christmas decorations....lol!
Glad you got on so many rides at night! Too bad about space shutting down...darn.

Those Mickey hot chocolate cups are adorable as is Christmas Donald! So cute!!!

Aren't they cute? I wish now that I would have saved one.

We found the lines for rides during MVMCP were practically non-existent too. I suppose people are seeing shows or characters.

You're probably right. If we had had the kids with us, we might have gone to some of the dance parties, but we enjoyed doing the rides with no wait! :thumbsup2

The Christmas decorations are so beautiful!

They were so gorgeous!

I would love to do BTMRR in the dark, that's on my list of things to do when DH and I go in September.

Definitely do it! In the dark it isn't as easy to see when the turns are coming, so it really added to the fun!

Love the Splash Mountain picture! You look like you were having an amazing time! :goodvibes

We really were having so much fun! It was our favorite night of the trip!

A magical late night at Magic Kingdom, sleeping until you wake up, and Downtown Disney... excellent. :thumbsup2

It was the best day! The only downside was leaving the park because we know it was our last night.

Main street sure looks crowded, but I'm glad you had very short wait times for the rides.

Main Street felt VERY crowded, but I think it was because everyone was leaving at the same time. Back in Frontier Land and Adventure Land there were virtually no crowds at all. I guess everyone was at the second parade and/or the dance parties.

I was hoping for a picture of your cinnamon bun!

The report's not over yet...:rolleyes1

Wasnt that fog that rolled in weird??? It made the Castle look all misty!

It was so strange! When we were up in Astro Orbiter, the whole park had this "fuzzy" look. I can't describe it, but it was cool.

Sounds like you had a great time at the party and got loads done :thumbsup2

We did! We sacrificed the parties, but it was so worth it to ride so many rides!

I don't blame you on the Splash ride

Looking back, I have a teeny bit of regret about not riding it again. It was a warm night and who cares if my pants were wet. But I didn't have anywhere to stash the camera.

I was in the exact same spot as you during the fireworks at the Halloween party and I had the same experience. But I felt like you...I guess stayed there and took it in. I actually enjoyed the breathing room.

I remember now reading that in your trip report. How come I didn't remember it THEN??? :rotfl2:

:rotfl: I don't know!!!!!! You were forwarned!!!!! :rotfl: Anyway, great Splash pic and POC pictures. And I like the snow effect on Main Street!

Isn't it fun riding the rides at night?! :yay: On our trip we did evening EMH at Epcot and I was literally giddy about riding Test Track for the first time at night! So much fun! :thumbsup2

You got some nifty shots of the queue caves! I SO want to go at Christmastime.

The picture of the SM poster advertising the 50 ft. drop make my stomach churn! :scared1: Glad you enjoyed it though! BTMRR is a blast at night! It is so different. I love riding things at night. It got dark at 5:00 every night during our trip and I loved it. It's not hot in the parks and everything is so pretty lit up. I really want to go to AK at night one time. I've never done that, but I bet it is gorgeous!

Sleeping in and being laid back sounds very good to me!

Thanks! I hope you get to go at Christmas, it was really beautiful!

I really want to go to AK at night one time. I've never done that, but I bet it is gorgeous!

Me, too!!! I bet Expedition Everest is amazing at night!

What an amazing time at MVMCP!! :goodvibes I think that I "aw"-ed out loud when you were talking about you and Tom becoming kids again at the parade. That's so wonderful! The parade looks incredible. I really, really, really want to see Disney all Christmas-y one day. :cloud9: Sorry your Wishes spot wasn't good, but it's awesome that you had such little wait for all of your rides! What an amazing night! :thumbsup2
