I can't believe it's over! I hate the endings of TRs. It makes me feel sad all over again! I really enjoyed the journey though and I hope you will do another TR for a future trip!

The last 2 credits were used to get bags of nuts for the plane ride home, although we ended up not eating them until a few days later.



(My mom had these canisters when I was a kid.)

You know I appreciate all of those shots of Pop. That place just makes me happy!

I usually get nuts to bring home and use in baking or to top ice cream or whatever. Yes, they are more expensive than Walmart nuts, but it brings me continued Disney happiness to pour them out of a Chip and Dale bag.

My grandmother had those kitchen accessories, too. Can't forget those mushrooms.

It is so depressing to be pulling out on ME and see people loading buses to go to parks.

I'm so happy though that you enjoyed WPE and had a great experience. It really is a great deal for a CS meal on the DDP.

I could give up all the other CS places and never miss them, but WPE will always be a must-do now!

Yeay! A Mickey ice cream bar! Perfect last treat from Disney!

Can you believe that was the only one we got??? I miss them all year long, and then when I get there I don't have one.

It's always sad to leave but hopefully the kids and pets being happy to have you back made it easier!

That and being out of spending money!

I am sooooo sorry; I feel awful! I completely skipped over the details of getting home because I was so tired when I was writing the update. It really was so cool to meet you, especially since it was by chance!

That rigatoni at WPE looks DELICIOUS! And what a bargain that it is considered a CS when you are on the DDP. I had wanted to eat there when we went and tried to convince DH, but it was pretty expensive to pay OOP for so we skipped it.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure we would never pay OOP for it. But you're right, it is a great bargain on the DDP. Everything we had was delicous, too!

This was the first time since January 2000 that Tom and I had gone away alone for a non-business, non-church related event. This was just for us, and it was so incredibly wonderful! We have a fantastic marriage, but this time away gave us a chance to re-connect and have FUN together. So, in no order whatsoever, here are my random thoughts about this trip.

1) Travelling without kids is a completely different experience. We could go as fast (or as slow) as we wanted!

2) Casey’s and Wolfgang Puck Express are not to be missed!

3) I wish we had spent more time exploring in World Showcase, but it was really cold that day.

4) Popcorn and Grey Goose Slushies make a yummy snack!

5) I like hummus! (Didn’t think I would…)

6) I would like to spend more time watching Osborne Lights next time.

7) Taking the drawing class was fun and a great souvenier!

8) Next time I want to go through One Man’s Dream.

9) Splash Mountain and Big Thunder are AWESOME at night!!!

10) Dole Whips are still the bomb!

11) Four nights was a nice amount of time. One more day would have given us a chance to see Animal Kingdom, though.

I’m sure I missed something, but that’s all I can think of right now.

I cannot express how much it means to me that you followed along and made comments. The comments really encouraged me to stick with it and finish! I had a lot of fun writing this, and will definitely be doing another one in the future!

Your final thoughts are just why I would LOVE to go with just my DH. My kids are so young that they would be terribly upset. We have to go somewhere else I suppose. I'm really glad you enjoyed your time.

What a wonderful last day. WPE looks very promising! Both choices you ordered look very tempting. Can't wait to try it! Did you happen to notice how late it's open at night? On our arrival day, we won't be getting in there to eat until about 9pm. I'm hoping it's still open.

Too bad about Goofy's Candy Co. It really sucks they took away the snack credit priviledges. Plus the lack of milk chocolate? What an atroscity! Glad you didn't settle and just left.

So sad your TR is over When are you going next?!

Great updates! WPE was our favorite counter service too--SOOO yummy! It is crazy that it only counted as a CS instead of a TS. We loved it. Sorry about Goofy's. That's so frustrating that they were out of milk chocolate. We didn't know about the snack credit thing, so we ended up paying OOP for ours. But we weren't disappointed! I'm sorry you weren't able to get one.

I'm so glad that you and Tom had such a wonderful trip together. I'm excited to have little get-aways like that even after we have kids. Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us!!
