Italy on Dining Plan?

Does anyone know if you can do the Family style Abondanza meal on the dining plan at Tutto Italia? Just checking.

Another restaurant I can't wait to try. Some of the pics posted by other members look so good. I've heard many complain about the price for "pasta", but really, it looks that good!

As far as I can tell, the family style meal has been removed from the menu, probably because they were constantly getting this question.

When it was on the menu, you could not use the dining plan for it.

Well, you could order the family meal last year with the DDP...or at least that's what we were told by our server. I suspect it was taken out before the start of the year since the DDP would no longer include an appetizer. Same reason as Nala said. I don't remember seeing it on the menu at the very end of November.

But I would never have ordered it. Why limit your table to set 2 entrees, etc.. when everyone could order whatever they wanted.

I suspect that people are seeing it on the posted menus now and are asking because they think the appetizer might be included.

This is why we get questions relatively often about price-fixed "special menus" that sometimes appear at certain restaurants (like the French Menu at Chefs de France, which I really liked by the way). Readers see the appetizer part and want to find out if it means there is a way to have the appetizer included in the basic plan.

The only way to do that is to book 1) a buffet, 2) a fixed-price, preplated all you can eat meal like Ohana or CRT, 3) a dinner show, or 4) a package deal (Fantasmic Dining Package, for example)

We have dined at Tutto's three times this year and have not seen the family meal plan, or whatever it is called.
We even noticed the menu had changed when we were there a week ago from a few months prior when we dined there.
