In some places we saw at least 3-4 feet of snow. We were about 7,800 feet up.

A ski run in the distance. I am assuming it was more challenging than most because there were very few people there.

DH at the top.

Another ski run.

A view on the way back down the mountian. The city of Canazei below.

After the cable car we drove up the road and snapped a few more pictures.

A church out in the middle of no where. One would have to cross country ski to get here.

One last view, showing a couple of chair lifts. Some of them were quite long.

Livorno is in a convenient location to a lot of great sites. Pisa and Florence are really close as well as the Italian Riviera. North and Central Italy would be convenient as well. If you ever can visit you will not be disappointed, Italy has so much to offer.

Beautiful!!!!!!

There was a 3 hour special on one of the PBS stations on saturday. One of the towns of interest was Verona. What a lovely town. I have 7 months till our visit and everytime I see a pic or a special on Italy, I can feel excitement building inside me.

Hope to meet you in September. :bounce:
