It will be my last trip for a loong time

I love the name Gus Gus, if you decide to keep him!

And, what a great mom! I always loved getting little trinkets in my Easter basket over candy. I'm not a huge candy person, either. You'll have to post pictures of the baskets when you get them put together!

Well we went shopping, got pocket klennex packets for Disney :lmao: told you I would get something today for the trip, lol.

Well here is the big news....I was able to hold the puppies today and really check them out. Up until now they were so small and except for moving them to another section of the box to change the papers I didn't get to really roll them over and look at their paws, etc. In my look and see puppy holding I realized that Gus Gus is NOT A BOY!!!! That puppy was the first one born and I mistook the cord area for a boys area and since the belly was so big I ....oh forget it...I totally screwed that up,lol. Simba asked if he had to explain to me the difference between boy and girl dogs,lol:rotfl2:

So the puppies are now Wendy, Dorie and Tiger Lily. Can'y use Tink, Minnie or Daisy or any of the other top Disney female names cuz they are already taken by my sisters and brother's pets.

Thanks HeatherBelle on the basket cudo's. Last year I put in suntan lotion, lip balm, rolled up new bathing suits and disney dollars in the basket. I even found an Easterbunny Mickey Mouse sugar sucker for them :)

That's too funny about Gus Gus! I love Tiger Lily though; very pretty!

Where did you find the Disney Easter candy? We aren't telling DM about the trip until June, but it'd be funny to put some random Disney stuff in her basket.

We have a market place in Buffalo (about 20 minutes from Niagara Falls) that sells all the Easter stuff. Homemade trinkets, polish sausage, fresh baked Easter bread, rolls, etc. It's called the Broadway Market.

Oh no, 3 girl puppies. :scared1: I had a cat named Theodore once who had kittens before we realized our mistake. :rotfl:

We have cancelled our vacations for this year (BC in May and Costa Rica in September) because our youngest son has recently gotten engaged and we are in the house hunting process for him right now. We put the down payments on the houses for our other 2 sons when they married and we'll be doing the same for the 3rd. And since he's 28 and still lives at home, we are very motivated to find a house for him! :rotfl:

We still have hope to go to Costa Rica in the fall or early next year but I'm not making any plans because it's too hard to walk away then. And we did just take everyone to WDW and on a Disney Cruise 2 months ago. We take 3 big vacations a year but not usually in the years the kids have gotten married due to the house purchases.

And I am pretty sure I'll be going to China on business later this year so I can make that into a side vacation.

My best friend leaves next week on a 12 day Carnival Panama cruise and I can't wait to hear what she thinks after. There are some great cruise deals. My husband and I have cruised Royal Carribean and then Disney and I'm still not sold that cruising is for us. My best friend knows me well enough so she'll be able to give me a better idea of whether or not I'd like a longer cruise.

Yes, and I second pics of the Easter baskets too. You are a great mom.

We've only been on one cruise 2007 and my kids were torn between a cruise or a Disney vacation they loved it so much. We are planning on going again soon. I really want to do the 12 day cruise around Italy for only $1300. You can't stay in hotels and have all your food for that low of a price for 12 days.

Today was Disney day for me. The boys were with their Dad so I popped in my Disney DVD's (vacation club one and regular one) and then Disney Weddings were on tv twice today and the challenge on the food network was disney cakes too:cool1:

What a way to spend a day (while doing laundry, lol)

What cruise line is doing Italy for $1300? We went to Italy and Switzerland 3 years ago. We spent 2 jam packed weeks touring the entire country of Italy on our own; I'm sure we saw every church in the country and believe me, there are lots of churches. We have a rule that we can't go back to the same place twice (except WDW) but I would love love love to see Venice again. $1300 is a great price, even with the airfare to get there.

We spent the day driving around looking at foreclosures. After awhile the houses all start looking the same. We took the dogs and rode around with the top down, the weather was so nice here. But tonight my allergies are killing me.

And I love that Disney weddings show. I really wanted one of the 3 boys to get married there but that's not going to happen. Those kids must not be mine because none of them "get" Disney. How can that be?

HI kimbo0569 WELCOME!!:cheer2:

Pakey~ Carnival has the $1269 for this Fall (higher for other times of the year.) It's one of thier new ships too.

My son got engaged in January and wanted to wait 2 years or so to get married but now that he is in the Air Force they are talking about getting married much sooner. Not sure what is going to happen there.

Wow, I may be checking out those Carnival cruises after all. I was looking at Crystal which is $$$$ but I've decided I'm not going to spend that much on vacations anymore until the stock market rebounds. We did a Disney cruise in January when we took the entire family but I wasn't over the top thrilled with it.

Our 3 sons (2 are married, last one is engaged now) did their own things when it came to their weddings. They took the money but didn't ask for opinions. One had a huge (300 people) formal wedding and then honeymooned in Jamaica. The oldest one had a destination wedding in Maui for 100 and then honeymooned in Fiji. The youngest is definitely more anti-social so I have no idea what they are doing; they are not even setting a date until a house is purchased.

Mickey and Minnie have come to me to help them plan their wedding. They are both athletic and outdoor types and are talking about a small formal wedding and reception on a Saturday and then a huge picnic type of party the next day with all their friends and the family that cant be invited Saturday. My side of the family is way over 100 people, my ex husband has less but about 50, her Minnie's side of the family I believe is about 50 total, and that's without and friends of the families or the kids friends.

I'm waiting for Minnie to come over now to play with the puppies and have coffee. She is a little lost without Mickey here though.

I need to start thinking about our game plans for the trip. I have my ADR's and what parks for what days but that is it. We are not going commando but there still has to be some plans in place or I will go psycho if I don't :rotfl2:

What I am thinking (of course my family will not have any idea of my plans - well except for my Sister Tink who is reading this, lol, but she will keep quiet - wont you Tink!!!pirate: )

We land at 9:30 am, super early time, means more time in WDW!!! We catch ME to POFQ, we check in....some coffee is needed NOW, yes I have to slot in my java intake. I will have to settle for the blech coffee, nope don't like it at all but it is brown, hot and has a jolt of caffine. If our room is not ready I say...hop right over to DHS to walk and soak it all in...thats what I want to do.
My family? Who knows, but I'm planning, I'm paying and I want to do that darn it. Okay enough of my temper tantrum. :upsidedow

After we walk around and really, I am there for soaking up the Disney air and the atmosphere, not worried about rides, if we get on we do, if not oh well.

SLOT IN ANOTHER CUP OF JAVA HERE

We have ADR's for Sci Fi but it is really if we want to we do, if we dont want to we don't. I want to be able to go into the shops and explore and watch the street players and the afternoon parade which we never have enough to do on a normal WDW day. The kids they are not big parade people, it's something that I have had to live with my whole time as a mother, it's terrible I tell you, just terrible.

Eventually we will have to get our room and unpack. So a lot of the day will depend on that, I know they will want to swim too.

CUP OF JOE TIME

Our later evening will be spent on the Boardwalk, people watching and making our way over to Beaches and Cream for dessert.

I will have to have Simba in bed by 10:00 if we want to be up the next morning at 6:30 am to make our ADR's for Crystal Palace at 8:00 am
My older ones may stay out at the hot tub or hanging out with Tink and DBil.
Or I can talk one of them into staying with Simba in the room while I sit in the hot tub with my last cup of coffee of the evening.

Any suggestions on anything else we can do?

Have you guys ridden Toy Storia Mania yet. Wow, it's an amazing ride. I would head to the fast pass machine first thing when you get into DHS and see if you can still snag some.

And you need some kind of award if you can drink that coffee. Especially if you can drink more than one cup. I cannot do it. Do you grab a churro or anything to go with it?

I love the street performers at DHS and would be very happy to wander around catching each act.

Only Donald has ridden the Toy Story Mania ride, it was still being built when we went in April 2008. I am very excited about it though and will try to fast pass it when we get there. Idol show is another one I want to hit if possible. Donald said it is really good.

I can technically drink any kind of coffee at any time of the day or night, lol.
There is a coffee shop over by Star Tours that we like to hit when we go to DHS and they have great coffee and cookies there.

Just thinking about the first day there is getting me all giddy!!

The sun has risen, the birds are chirping and the coffee is brewing (I will bring my own for the room - Folgers for me) and my boys are still snoring, lol.
I get myself ready, wake them up and leave the room for at least 15 minutes to half an hour to let them wake, fight, shower, fight and dress. While this is going on I will be sitting at the dock watching the ducks feed while drinking my java and enjoying the peace and quiet.
After that I will get them moving and mosey on down to the bus station to get an early start. WE HAVE CRYSTAL PALACE ADR"S - time to get my bacon, tons and tons of bacon, crispy, bacon...oh and other foods too.
We will of course love getting to MK before it opens and walk down my favorite place in the world...Main Street USA! without all the crowds.
After we get our fill of food it will be time to get to the rope drop at back end of the park and make our way over for fast pass's (reminder, use our fast pass holders that I bought for this very occasion) for Splash mountain and ride BTMRR.
Since Space mountain will be closed we will start our whole morning over on this side of the park and at one point send Donald over to get fast pass's to Buzz.
Once the left hand side of the park is finished it is time to head to tomorrowland and Carousel of Progress (woo hoo I love that ride, totally LOVE IT) of course the song will stay in my head for days, lol.
We will hit all the rides over there and sometime in there get the kids some lunch/snacks if they are hungry.

Then it's time for either...a break and a swim at the resort or we keep moving and hit Fantasyland, and then Haunted Mansion. Of course we will hit Spalsh and Thunder again and POTC again, lol. Dinner is calling us by now at Liberty Tree Tavern.

Our evening will be spent hitting whatever rides, gift shops or whatever the kids want to do at MK, then it will be a Wishes evening for us.

We will mosey back to the buses and make our way to the resort for a late night swim and snack. Once we get back to the room we know Stacey on Disney All Disney 24/7 channel will be on and we will listen to Simba snore us to sleep. :sad2:

How was the Disney cakes challenge? I missed it!!

I love your plans so far! You definitely need to get on to TSM as many times as possible; it is one of our favs now!

The cake challenges were so good! One of the guys was making blown sugar Jiminy Cricket and his torch went out, he finished it with a cigarette lighter!!! WHAT TALENT, he won by the way. Me and Simba sit and watch the cake challenges as much as we can. Ace of Cakes is another one of our favorites.

Okay readers...name you favorite ride/attraction orshow in each park...

MK - POTC/Carasousel of Progress
DHS - Tower of T/Muppet 4D
AK - Kali/Lion King
Epcot - Soarin/Crush Talk

Epcot - Livin' with the Land

What about the shows or attractions? WE can't put a ride and a show in the same catagory, nope can't do it.

Oh I'm s not good with listing favorites as I'm wishy-washy.

Ok, here goes:

DHS-ToT/Muppets
MK-Splash Mtn/Monster Laugh Floor
AK-EE/Lion King
Epcot-No rides/Grand Marnier Orange Slushie in France

ToT is my all time favorite and I have to buy one pic from that ride each vacation. It's a tradition. I got into trouble on the one in Disneyland Paris so that has made it even more a favorite as I have another great memory of it.

I must confess I have never made it for rope drop, too early for me.
