Our last day at Walt Disney World

Luckily we had packed up most of our stuff the afternoon before so we jammed it all into the car. Never fits the same way as it did the first time.

We had early reservations for Crystal Palace so we arrived nice and early and proceeded through the gates, it is quite a cool feeling to enter when everyone else is waiting outside.

We wandered up the Main Street and I snapped a couple of photos, Cullen was so tired he was a bit grumpy, Doug carried him on his shoulders he just wasn’t into walking today. In fairness the wee tyke had done so well. We had brought a buggy for Seth, the condo had a cheap one that once folded up fitted in the back of the McLaren which we also took to the parks, but to be honest he didn’t use it that much. I was really proud of him, considering he was only 2 and a half he did really well.

My favourite "scenery" picture

I checked us in and we had a small wait before being called and taken to our table, I was a little worried when they showed us to the table as it was jammed in a little corner I thought we could be easily missed. But it was fabulous, the characters were all very good, Seth still not keen but Cullen enjoyed it.

The food was lovely, I over ate again.... The chef nicely made the kids (ME)!! A chocolate chip Mickey Mouse pancake which went down well at the table.
You can tell by the look on my boys faces that they are so very tired.

After leaving breakfast, Doug and I took the boys to get a haircut while Grandma and Grandpa went to buy a sweatshirt each. It was very chilly this morning.
We arrived at the Barbers and waited for a spot, there were two in the chair and one other waiting before it was our turn. Seth went first for his first haircut, he did very well the stickers she gave him kept him entertained before pulling out a Buzz Light year rotating light thingy which was enough to get him through to the end of the haircut. Unfortunately I didn’t get any photos of his hair cut because I was getting it on video. But the change in him was amazing he looked like a little boy instead of my wee baby.

Cullen then had his turn, we weren’t going to get his hair cut because I had done it not long before we went on holiday, but he wanted a go so he got in next. She gave him a quick cut before putting some sparkly Mickey Mouse confetti in his hair.

On our way out we ran into Daisy, I must confess I did try to persuade Cullen that he didn’t actually want to wait in line to see her as we wanted to get on and get some rides in before having to head away. However, he was quite insistent that he see her, so I sent Doug and Seth to go and get some Buzz Lightyear fast passes while Cullen and I waited to see Daisy. I am really glad we did, it was the best interaction he had, he loved it and I am pretty sure she did to. He blew her kisses and told her that he loved her. It was the first time I really welled up in the whole trip. I got some great photos.

We then headed and met Doug and the others at Buzz, which we didn’t need fast passes for. (in fact they didn’t even have the machines open) we rode that which we all enjoyed, we then took the back route over to Toon Town to ride Goofy’s barnstorming, Cullen a shorty, but a dare devil was itching to ride some sort of roller coaster. It was pretty much a walk on, we got on and Cullen snuggled into me, and we were off, I looked at his face a couple of times throughout the ride and it was a picture he looked terrified, so when we pulled into stop I was fully expecting tears, but he turned to me, grinned and said can we do that again. So we got off and he and Daddy got on.

We headed into Fantasyland to ride some rides in there, Grandma and Grandpa headed off to ride Haunted Mansion, while we got in line for Winnie the Pooh, it seemed to take ages, in fact we were still in it when Grandma and Grandpa got back from haunted Mansion, we were trying to get their attention to let them know we were still in the line, when someone said hello to us. It was amazing it was people we knew from the UK....... so we had a wee chat to them while we waited and finally got on the ride. On to Its a Small World where I snapped a picture of the kiwis and Maori doll.

After getting off we went in search of another funnel cake for lunch. Still very yummy.

After our funnel cake we headed over to ride the Magic Carpet ride, the Jungle Cruise, and Pirates, upon coming out of Pirates we ran into the Photo pass person, so managed to get a picture of Cullen fighting Captain Hook.

We then decided we should start to make tracks as we were driving down to Palm City that afternoon for the 2nd week of our holiday. We thought we would finish with Cullen’s favourite ride the teacups which he once again loved.

However, on our way out we passed Autopia and I saw that he was tall enough to ride on it. So we sent Doug and him onto ride that. He was barely tall enough to see over the windscreen, Doug was holding lightly onto the steering wheel just to keep it going in the right direction, not long into the trip around the race track, Cullen waved his hands away saying, No Daddy I do it, hence the picture of Doug....

He was stoked at his little licence that he received when getting off.

We headed out stopping in a shop for some snacks along the way.

Very sad to be leaving......................

Wow,you sure know how to fit lot's in with 2 little ones.x.

You have managed to fit a lot into a week - your children really look like they enjoyed.

what a lovely idea getting haircuts in magic Kingdom :goodvibes

Kirsten,
It has been a joy to read your report and expecially enjoyed today's Magic Kingdom installment. Everything was so perfectly suited to your very little park goers. I will look forward to reading the reports of your future trips. And about Cullen navigating all that territory on his own two little feet--what a guy! I believe you will find Disneyland on your upcoming trip ever so much better for little legs. As you know, it is much smaller than MK and owing to the Imagineers clever use of the limited space, Disneyland is much more densely packed with attractions with very short spaces between. I think you'll find it easier on all of you, though I must say you did a great job of managing the vast spaces of WDW. Thanks for your wonderful report. I'll just finish reading this one and be looking for the one from you next trip.

Another lovely day and your kids did really well, I know my legs are tired after a day in the park but just imagine how much more the little ones have to walk.

fab last day. Daisy piccies are lovely. we haven't met her yet. it's on my must do list :thumbsup2

I think we were very lucky with the crowds, the boys were very good, we had no melt downs which was really good.

Thank you very much for reading. We are so looking forward to another trip to Disney in June, It was such a great trip, it was so good to be able to mix letting the kids lead the way and being able to get a few rides in with Doug as well.

I look forward to writing many more.

What troopers your little men were :thumbsup2

Lovely day :)

Thanks for reading, Daisy was great, such a good interaction. Will happily let him wait in line again for any character he wants to see from now on.

That's more than we do in a day at DLRP with Kacee! I'm impressed at how much of WDW you covered with two children and two grandparents!

Excellent pics of your lad with Daisy.
We also want to try CP for breakfast (with DW being a huge Tigger fan) so am pleased to see that the streets are exactly as I imagined them to be - empty.
Looking forward to some good castle pics.
Many thanks for the report - I've really enjoyed reading it.
