I went 12/26 in 2008. I was down visiting my parents for Christmas and my Mom & I went to Epcot that day. We then did the Yuletide Tour the next day. Crazy crowded.

...want to know a secret?? I'm currently trying to figure out how to get myself down there for a weekend this year

I know! I was shocked about the Standards. Of course, there are very few Standards at WL so, that is probably why.

If you were staying at a Value or Moderate, you'd want to avoid Pop Warner week (I think it's the second week of December.) But I think you'd be fine since you're staying at WL. As long as you stick within the "value" season, I'm sure you'll be fine!

Well, I'm definitely going in October for a week for F&W. I'm getting an AP for that trip, so I'm looking at going either Memorial Day Weekend or Labor Day Weekend in 2011 (so I get the value out of the AP) but let's be honest here--you know I'll go both times I really want to see WDW all decked out for the holidays again, but I don't want to take any more vacation time. I have it this year, but I want to try to carry it over. The WDWToday Podcast is having their "Reunion" event from Dec 1-5, so I think I might watch airfares and see if I can get a really great deal to swing down for Friday night through late Sunday...but it'd have to be a really cheap airfare, I wouldn't want to spend a fortune for just a weekend!

OHHH you two sound like me and my DH. We have all of our vacations planned out in our heads until 2012. I am so glad that I can report to you how our stay is at the WL during Christmastime! Hope it is helpful for your 2012 planning

I researched Pop Warner (thank you for reminding me--I TOTALLY forgot!!). Looks like it is always the first full week in December (usually the second week). So, based off of that info, it looks like it will be December 6-11th. (11th being the crowded day b/c it is their last days in the parks). We are checking in on the 11th and wont hit the parks till the 12th so, I don't think that would be a big deal.

That would be amazing if you could make it to the Podcast event!! I would LOVE to read about that! Also, I think the Christmas Parade that airs on TV is usually taped the first week of December! That would be awesome for you to go and see

Love the WL! We stayed there back in 2005, when we went the week after Thanksgiving. It was so warm and cozy---All the Christmas decorations just seem to look natural there!

In the villas, there's a fireplace in front of the smaller Christmas tree that my son and I like to sit near. There's two big chairs right in front, facing the fire, but sometimes it gets a little too cozy right there, if you know what I mean! (this little smiley represents sweating in this statement b/c it gets HOT over there!). But I just love how tranquil the Lodge is and how it has all of those wonderful spots to have a quiet moment away from the group with a loved one.

What a wonderful trip! I am so happy you and your family had such a wonderful time. I love the pic that you took from the Christmas shop. That really does sum it up. Those little moments when you look around and think, "Wow, I'm in Disney World. How lucky am I?"

All caught up!! LOVE the pics with Jasmine/Aladdin and Tiana/Naveen!! How fun that you were able to meet them on this trip!! And WOW!! Your Haunted Mansion pics are GREAT!! I tried to get some last trip and they all turned out blurry! What kind of a setting did you use?! And YAY for Daisy! You got so lucky being last in line for both Tiana/Naveen AND Daisy!! And LOVE the pic of your hubby and Aiden through the window!! Precious!! And you sounded just like me waiting at Dinosaur for Ally & Brent. I was so scared for Ally and worried she would freak!! Glad Abby liked it--Ally can't WAIT to ride it again!! And your Dinosaur pic is HILARIOUS!!!! Ally wants me to ride with her this next time--we'll see!! LOVE the interaction with M-Po!! We used to have Mancala tournaments when I was in elementary school--fun game!! Oooh--I'll have to remember that Baby Center next to Pizzafari!! Thanks for the tip! And what fun time with Goofy!!! That will be a memory you will never forget! And how fun that Abby got picked to be in the FOTLK show! More Disney magic!!

GREAT!!! I am SO excited to read your PTR. We are kicking around going during that time (Thanksgiving) next year. My son's birthday is November 26th. I have heard that it is not that bad during that time of year, despite what the books say. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your hubby Abby's birthday is this weekend as well! Did you see that the MVMCP tickets went on sale yesterday
