The New York Times has been running a series of articles on photography and ethics which I am really enjoying. The latest one deals with a photo taken in a war zone which features a certain mouse ::MickeyMo we all know and are fond of. Here is the link. It's a very interesting discussion around what is acceptable in photography (art v. journalism), context of photos, and the process of how a picture makes its way from a war zone to the front page of your local paper.

thanks for the link. i've read through half of it but i'll have to finish it later. its interesting to hear from a photographer's point of view the danger of image manipulation and how it has had an impact on how photojournalists have to work and how editors have to keep tight control on what they publish. even without photoshop there will be image "manipulation" in every photo. its called framing, and subject choice and angle...all that can have a different effect on a photo.

i also find it interesting that the other photographers declined to comment. hhmmmm.
