It"s cold!!!!

But does this surprise anyone?

<Looks at your screen name>

Nope, that doesn't surprise me.

Kevin, I've had people looking at me longingly in the stands up at Daytona because I was nice warm and toasty sitting there in my snowmobile suit. I wasn't kidding about using at the Magic Kingdom because the cold in Florida is biting due to the humidity. Atleast up where in Wisconsin it's a dry cold.

I am acctually excited about the weather. It should keep the crowds down a bit. If you search my screen name in the time/weather thread you will see what I mean. Where I live would make your house's deep freeze seem warm...seriously. Since Christmas it has been pretty darn cold here. But it balances out because November was one of our warmest ever(global climate change...don't get me started)
I just got a new Arc'teryx midweight fleece that will work great I think. Our family will be easy to find. We will be the ones that look way under dressed compared to everyone else. I bet our dd8 will be in the pool swimming in the next week.

Hey your weather looks pretty warm to me at the moment :rotfl2: Enjoy sheding off the big parka for a bit :)

Kevin it's gonna snow here in Atlanta on Thursday.

Also saw that it was colder in Atlanta than Washington DC. BRRR. It's cold here as well. I've become like my cat looking for a spot of warm sunshine. It's cold but it's not icky. :goodvibes:goodvibes

At least it lets me get out my puffy jacket and wear it.

School was closed half day today and we're off tomorrow too.

We Brits really can't cope with snow!!

:goodvibes

Ok...if you are an adult and headed to the Magic Kingdom in your snowmobile suit....please call Kathy and I.

We'll be there with camera equipment.:thumbsup2

I'm not going next 'till June, but to meet you guys I may just think about it!

And don't think i'm kidding! Thus far I have only met Teresa and I want to collect the whole set! :lmao:

I wonder how many people will still ride Kali River Rapids. :lmao:

My girlfriend said she saw numerous people riding Kali this afternoon when we were on EE! I was in my winter jacket and all I could do was shake my head lol

The high today was 47 and the low tonight will be 27.

Florida...like the rest of the South is breaking records.

I know it's colder where you live and that you'd rather be in WDW than sitting in your cube but it's freakin cold here.

I'm really surprised its that cold in Disney. Maybe it will have real snow!

Jeez---suck it up people. Up here in Michigan I just walked to work five miles uphill both ways in cardboard shoes, two feet of snow. You kids don't know how easy you got it. Damn wippersnappers!
(Uh oh---I'm channeling my grandfather)

The weather down there reminds me of February 2004. I was living in Tampa and a couple of my friends came down to visit. We spent the weekend at WDW and it went from the 60's to the 30's in 3 days. On Sunday it was 2 degrees warmer in Cleveland (where they came down from) then in Orlando. It was rather humerus and a bit ironic.

It is pretty good running weather for marathon weekend though. My preferred running temp is between 43 and 48 and in most running surveys the fastest average races are usually right about 45. Considering that my run last night was in about an inch of snow with a wind chill of 14 I'd take it.

I was born and raised in the South. Twenty years ago I was promoted to a position here in Michigan. Moved smack in the middle of winter. Hated winter---still not crazy about it but I decided cabin fever was going to drive me crazy. Went out and bought snowshoes for hiking in the forests around here (which is great in the winter, zero bugs, no people) We live next to a small lake which we ice fish and skate on. This weekend here there are even dog sled races we're going to check out at the local state park. So it ain't all bad.

It's supposed to snow all Wednesday night through Thursday here. With the wind chill, daytime temp will be -16 and night will be -31.
Ick. I am so over winter.
I'm predicting movies, pizza and pjs at our house Thursday!
