Morning all, thankfully last night had a good nightś sleep. No noise (barring snoring).

We are just about to go off to Epcot for the morning. Weather is clear and sunny, it looks like another hot day.

Speak to you when I get back.

Have fun at Epcot :thumbsup2

Have fun, can't wait to hear all about it.Glad you had a quiet+good nights sleep.x.

Sounds like you've got much better weather than we have here!

Have fun at Epcot :)

Hope you're having a lovely day in Epcot! :thumbsup2

Thanks, we did have a magical day.:goodvibes

Here goes ...... hopefully not too long. We nipped down to Epcot, just taking about 15 minutes from the hotel. DS19 got up really good so we hit the road at about 8.15 and managed to get to the park well before it opened, ideal at this time of the year. The security guy loved my clear waterproof (Aquapac) bag which I just had to hold up to him for inspection.

There were plenty of people there but overall the crowds were light. First stop we fancied a bit of hang-gliding, we soared over the American countryside taking in orange smells from the groves, the pine from the forests, splashed near the sea and river and glided over snowboarders. Some crazy golfer almost hit us with a golf ball but luckily we dodged it in our glider. Before we went on Soarin we fast passed it so we could go straight back on it later on. The good thing about arriving early is that you can get this ride done really easily. In the various cinemas it takes 85 people and they were about a couple of hundred people waiting to get in before the park opened, so it doesnt take long to get the people on the ride. We lost DH as we were exiting and just waited by the exit, all feeling a bit puzzled as to where he had gone. He turned up about 10 minutes later, he had left his Oakleyś in the storage net under the glider seat and forgot to pick them up after the ride. He tried to reenter the ride but the doors had closed for the next group so he had to wait till they finished. A woman was holding his glasses when he reentered the ride. He was so lucky because he could have lost them and he wouldnt have been a happy bunny.

We headed across the park to Test Track, current wait time 30 minutes so we picked up (DS17ś just reminded me of my first sentence, I hope it isnt going to be a long one ... sorry) fast passes (these allow you to come back at a certain time and get straight on the ride rather than lining up). We decided to go on the single rider line and were straight on the ride. We enjoyed being crash dummies as they tried testing the car out to the extreme, brakes, German bumps plus a 60 mph rip around the outside track. Glad I had my bobble. Feet holding up fine, last year had problems, ended up visiting the doctors when I returned home with infected feet. This year I was determined to keep my feet fine so have loads of sandals, trainers and flip flops to keep changing footware and using Berts Bees footcream on the feet to stop them drying up and cracking, they sell it over here.

Next we blasted off for a mission to Mars on Mission Space choosing the less intense version. The intense version has been known to put people in hospital so never will tempted to chance it. Fortunately, DS19 was the engineer and one of his tasks was to put us in to hypersleep for our flight to Mars, we all thought this was quite appropriate. The lines here were 5 minutes for the less intense and 10 for the intense ride.

Afterwards we headed back over to Soarin, the normal line was 30 minutes but we were straight on courtesy of the fast pass. We had had enough running round now after getting the major rides under our belts so it was time for breakfast, healthy choices for 3 of us - yoghurt, banana, grapes, strawberries and orange juice. DS17 had a butterfinger (chockie bar).

One of DS19ś rides he enjoys is Living With The Land and as the line at 11.10 was only 10 minutes we had a go on this and rediscovered different methods of growing fruit and vegetables, eg hanging in the air.

We trotted back across the park to Test Track, lines here at 11.40 am were now 50 minutes for standby and 20 minutes for single rider but we had fast passed it so were straight on. We just couldnt stand in line for 50 minutes, it would be so boring.

As the rides we wanted to do had all be done we had a nice, relaxing walk around the lands at Epcot stopping off at China, England, Italy and taking plenty of photos. There were not that many people walking around.

We popped in the Living in the Sea area and travelled in clams trying to find Nemo. It was quite clever at the end because they had the cartoon characters actually moving in a real tank of water filled with fish.

As we left the park we asked one of the photographers to take our photo with the Epcot globe in the background. He was foreign too and could speak English, he asked us where we were from, he then thought we were Geordies. He was quite funny.

The sons had particularly requested to visit Buffalo Wild Wings for a meal so we popped in here on the way back for lunch. The kids picked the wings with a hot sauce, and they managed to eat them, abet slowly. DH had a chicken burger and I chose a chicken salad. Both our meals had the same sauce on which was very hot but not as hot as the kids one. I could just about eat it but had to have a glass of water to manage it. If we go again I will be picking something mild. The kids thought it was funny as I struggled to eat it.

DH then declared he wanted to go to the Hollister store (no, my worse nightmare). The Hollister store was in the Mall of Millenia which also has an Apple store where I usually escape into. Unfortunately, it was only open to the hoards queuing outside for the new Apple phone. I was so bored, would have been okay if I had something to do but all I could do was wait and wait and wait as they bought clothes here then moved to the Abercrombie and Fitch shop. Worse point of my holiday but they did manage to buy some bargains. I thought it was funny me sitting outside when usually it is the hubbies waiting about being bored but I didnt want any clothes.

There is currently a thunderstorm with fork lightening so we have ended up coming back to the room for a break and will pop out when I have finished this. I am getting my own back now making them wait about whilst I do this. They have given me a clothes show and they stuff looks good. They have now escaped to the shop for some snacks and DS17 has booked himself next on the computer to go on Sky sports.

So I will finish now, bye for now.

As it was still pouring down we decided to nip to a supermarket and buy some breakfast foods and snacks for the room. We ended up going a bit further afield than we had intended because we forgot to look for the nearest supermarket address before we went out and, therefore, had to go to a supermarket we knew the location of.

We bought some lovely fruit bowls, strawberry bowls, bananas and snack bars for breakfast plus stuff for snacks, which will make it easier to get out quicker in the morning. By the time we had done a bit of food shopping the rain had stopped.

DS17 fancied going into Islands and doing Dr Doom in the dark. Dr Doom consist of two open air towers that have seats around it. It slowly lifts about 12 foot off the ground before zooming up full pelt 200 hundred feet. At the top you have some serious air time, I get the most, unfortunately, because I am not as tall as the rest of the family. We did Dr Doom twice and then headed to Duelling Dragons.

Duelling Dragons is in fact two rollercoasters that are inverted so the track is above you. You end up going upside down several times. The best bit is at the start when you go up I think 200 foot before dropping down. During the ride there are 3 occasions where you almost hit the other rollercoaster as you are only separated by 12 inches. It swings you round that much that when you come off the ride it can be a little bit difficult to walk in a straight line. DH usually sits this ride out due to motion sickness.

Once we had ridden the dragons it was time to leave the park. Just outside the park we picked a cinnabon up for DS19. This is a bit similar to a chelsea bun but instead of fruit there is a warm cinnamon sauce on it. It is very sweet but okay in small doses.

We returned to the hotel and again, DH and DS17 crashed out whilst DS19 had a go on the computer.

Distance walked today is 26,524 steps which translates to, hang on whilst I get DS17ś DS, 11.42 miles. Total now 25.16 miles.
