I have been trying to make an appointment with DD's doctor's office for their flu shot since September. In september they told me that they were not taking appointments yet , that they will in Ocotber, well, first week of October I called and they said they are not taking them yet but they are taking down names and numbers to call patients when they start, I put both kids on the list, last week I call and they say, yes we are taking appointments, they give me one for December!! Not possible, my kids get sick before that and they are both high risk.
So I made a doctor's appointment for Oct 31st to get them , yesterday I get a call , I have to re-schedule to November 4th ( which is not a problem as long as they get the shots ) and I'm told that my insurance company won't pay for the shots. WHAT?? they tell me it's going to cost me $27.50 per child to get them.
I called Blue Cross and asked them why they won't pay for it ( doctor's office claims they got a letter from them telling them every member should pay for flu shots ) and when I told them why it was covered last year and not this year they said that it is covered on my policy! Three different people told me the same thing at three different times.
Call doctor back and they say, well I guess if they said it's covered we will just have to bill them and they will pay for it! Top it off they tell me they called the entire waiting list they had....they didn't call me, and I have an answering machine!!
Why do they make me feel like I'm trying to pull someone's tooth when I'm just trying to get a flu shot??
I'm going back to bed and I'm starting my day all over again!!!
