It is unanimous!

In a VERY rare occurance for a new attraction,show,etc. at WDW,it appears that "The Magic, The Memories, and You” is receiving UNANIMOUS rave reviews!

There haven't been such glowing reports like the ones on MMY in a long time.

With the recent "less than stellar" reviews on the "new" DHS parade and the "heaviness" felt by many over the closure of SWSA,this Home Run couldn't have come at a better time!

No rave reviews from our family, we dislike the pictures and don't find it moving at all.

It seemed that more of the reviews I saw on Facebook last night (from the DIS post) were overwhelmingly negative.

I just saw the photos on the Disney blog - I thought it was okay. It's only temporary so it doesn't matter to me too much. I think it's kind of a neat idea. Of course, I thought the pink birthday cake castle was cool as well.

I saw the vid, I expect it doesn't do it justice, but I thought it looked fantastic! I love seeing the pics of other peoples experiences, it makes you feel like Disney connects people in these amazing memories like no other place in the world, it seems they've managed to make something so big seem so intimate
It's not replacing anything, it's a bonus that you can skip if it's not your thing...

It is permanent in the sense that it will be around for years.

It was launched with the current promotion, but they are already talking about what they are going to do different when the 2011 promotion is over.

The castle projection show is now a permanent part of the Entertainment at Magic Kingdom (like the daily fireworks), but the images, music, and show names may change throughout the years just like all of the other Entertainment offerings around property.

Heck, the celebration theme ended in the fall, yet they're still running both of the celebration parades (CDCT and MiSiCi).

Despite what others may say about it, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing MMY when I go to DL this summer! Projecting it on to the IASW building is quite different than the castle though...
I hope it's still around in February 2012 so I can see it on the castle as well!

I'm not sure if I would like it forever, as PPs have said, but for a year or two it should be just fine.

It's not that I mind seeing other peoples photos, it's just after say 4 minutes it's pretty dull. I love how the castle changes colors, that's always cool but pretty boring after that. More like a tv commercial.

Is this replacing wishes? will it be shown nightly?

I haven't seen it live so maybe it's better in person.

So is it the same photo reel that will run forever or does it change up? The way the announcement was said before it makes one think it is of that day, but that can't be possible.

I have a question - can you see the show only from the front of the castle? Are they going to have the show on the back of the castle?

That being said, I was amazed at the video, it brought tears to my eyes and I can't wait to see it this summer!!

Our only problem, we hate being jammed up in front of the castle, we always watch the fireworks and everything from behind!

oh bless you ... From what I've read it will be pics from each day up to 500, photopass ones I expect?

I think it's a great way to include everyone in the magic, the ones who hate it probably wouldn't if their pics were up ... I don't think it's intended as a big show to wait around staking out viewing places for, as wishes is the true show, it's more a thoughtful way to make a few hundred people feel included in the Disney magic ..
