The idea of being able to go to Disney World after school is just like so cool.:woohoo:
Has anyone else recently packed up and moved to Orlando? If so did you get tired of Disney World.(can't imagine that)popcorn:: How did it change your expierence?

My DH and I always talk about moving to Florida...we live only 50 minutes from Disneyland and we still want to move. Hope you find it a great place to call HOME...keep us posted.

We are an hour north of WDW, and are on our 3rd year of APs. We go often (at least three times a month, usually more), and so far, none of us are tired of it. There is 3 of us, DH, myself, and DS5.

If you have any questions, pm me, I will try to help. Of course, we have only been here 3 years ourselves. We moved from South Florida, and have never once regretted it!

Thank-you all for your responses.princess:
Jamesmommy, I will email if I have questions and I'm sure I will.
What is the best thing about living close to the world?popcorn::

We live about 45 minutes east of disney. The best thing about living near WDW is that when you go it isn't as stressful when you visit from out of state. You can go for a few hours if you have AP's and then leave knowing you can come back anytime. If I lived in another state, and I was coming for 10 days, I would want to plan every minute and see every single thing. I find it is alot more relaxed knowing it's "right down the street".

I live five minutes north of the Magic Kingdom. DD and I both have annual passes. I go to a WDW park, maybe, once a month. I go to DTD several times a week. When DD is home, we tend to go more often, but not as much as you might think.

Are we tired of the parks? Yes and no. We still love going, but we like to go to some more than others. We are much more likely to go to Epcot for a quick stroll in the evening or to grab dinner. Getting in an out of MK quickly is just not possible. So, that is often our last choice. When we go to a park, we often don't ride anything. We stroll around or eat. Sometimes we shop, but it is not the same as when we used to vacation.

Now, I'm not saying that is a bad thing. I love it. If I want to do something specific, I can do it. If it is too crowded, I just go back another time. I never feel rushed. But, I won't lie to you. Living close will change the experience for you. Remember, just because you live near to WDW, your real life issues will remain and they will take precidence.

My Husband and was just talking about our next stay at the Beachclub. We will be there for Christmas and New Years.:cool1: We hope that we will have been there so many times by then that we will just be there to kinda soak up everything and not stand in the long lines and just enjoy being there for Christmas.

You know I hadn't really thought about it until you wrote it , but in the past when we have gone to the World it was an escape.popcorn:: We would leave everything behind and not think of everyday stuff until we got home. Going very often will it remain an escape or will we have to find new escape. I wonder.popcorn::

We packed up and moved from Miami,Fl to Clermont,Fl,which is 25 minutes of Disney. We also have Annual passes. I agree with Feralpeg,if the parks are crowded,we can always leave. We can also go at night for dinner or a walk around.I like to look at the little things which are sometimes missed.Orlando is a nice big city, which we personally didn't want after living in Miami. But, if any of us central FL people can help you out,let us know, and welcome to Florida!

We're about 90 miles east of WDW -- on the beach. Living near the World is great. My kiddos have seasonal passes, and I'm a seasonal CM. DH gets non-expiring tickets since he doesn't go much. Anyway, it is great. We can go and really take it all in because we aren't rushing around trying to get it all in. We have even gone to WDW before without ever going into a park and have had a blast. It is a lot different. In many ways, the excitement is gone because it is no longer new, but it is still just a magical. We don't plan and all that stuff, but we have been known to call CRO and ask if they had rooms available for that night and take off. So, it is still great, but definitely different.
