Hi! I am not Mac, but I can answer your question.

Yes, the old woman in the video is the storyteller. She was the mascot of HHN in 2005. That year they did a REALLY cool promotion for HHN over at the HRH. The HRH had a tent set up in the lobby, and you could go in the tent for storytime. SO cool! It only held about 50 people, and the storyteller (dressed up in all of her makeup, and in a wheelchair ) had a helper that she tortured!

there will be at least 2 stay and scream areas to wait.
it is just a holding area...


when the park closes at 5:00, all must leave the park unless you have the hhn ticket. you have the right to go to the S & S holding area at that time then. just show your hhn ticket to security and they will direct you where to wait.
or, you can leave the park at 5:00.
if you do, you must stand in line outside the entrance and wait until 6:30 for the park to open up to the general public.

you stay there until security gives the all clear signal to the TMS.
at that point you are released into the park.

in years past, holding areas have been in the jaws area and at finnegans.
of course not everyone can sit inside finnegans but you are outside the building if not inside.

what do you do during that time period?
just wait, talk to friends, talk to the tm's, etc.
do whatever you usually do when you wait in a line.
but in the holding area, there are no lines.
just groups of people hanging out in that area.

the earliest i have ever been released from the S & S area has been 5:40.
the latest has been 6:10

you are right.

there were 3 areas last year and i went to the s & s there on the peak nights.


every few years they change the area. think it depends on sales for the night on guessing how large the crowd holding area could be.

that s & s was the best for the first houses of the night.

I have a question on the FFP. After you enter the park, do you have to go to guest service to get your picture on the passes? The last time I purchased an annual pass, you had to get your picture taken for the pass.

Ah...I still have my 2004 FF pass with my picture on it. They no longer do pictures on the passes...just regular looking tickets. The only AP that is still done with a picture is the Premier Pass.

i still have my PAP and it has my picture on it.
i was told that as long as i renew on time or don't lose my ap, it will be valid forever.

it has my picture on it.
if i had to rebuy the ap due to not paying the renewal fee or losing it, the replacement would not have my pic. i have the preferred annual pass.

We used too. And she was great, taking care of the neighborhood kids and riff-raff. But when she started turning on our own family, we had to put her down.

many have. there is another board that has discussed it.
i think until universal puts out the official logos it is best to wait.
someone must have leaked info and that is not a good thing for universal.
i wouldn't doubt if universal would change them now.
