Hi everyone,
I hope some of you remember me! It's been ages since I came on here but life has taken over between then and now and with having to cancel my florida trip (after much attempted lifesaving it was the only option), I didn't really feel like talking about magic. But now I return because I miss you all!

I did eventually end up going to Disney but in Anaheim instead of Orlando (long story) and next week I have an interview to work at Epcot next summer, so I'm still making sure I get my disney fix!

Just a quick shout out to those who came to the meet at Planet Hollywood those many moons ago! I still remember it well and would love to meet you and lots of new DIS-ers again in the future!

Afraid I can't stop long right now, I'm off to work in about 5 minutes, but I really do hope to catch up with everyone soon!

Have a magical day ;-)

Kirsty

thanks everyone, I look forward to getting back into conversations with you all, and I'll let you know how my interview goes. Even if I don't get the job I'm hoping to head out to FL next year anyway :goodvibes

I've missed this place loads! It's like coming home!

Hi Kirsty,

I was only asking Claire (Fizz13) if she had noticed you on the boards recently. She hadnt and explained about your Florida trip. It was such a shame. My parents went to California last month.

Wow an interview for Epcot. Lucky you. So jelous. Would love to do this, but with my three children I dont think it would be a good idea. I hope when they grow up I wont be too old to go out there and work in UK at Epcot. Always wanted to do that. Good luck and please let us know how you got on.

It was lovely meeting you in PH. What a shame you had to leave so early and your party was cancelled, because of your flat.

Hope everything is looking up.

X

things are a bit better these days thanks, that memorable day was just the start of a downhill spiral into what turned out to be a serious bout of depression, I'm still being treated for it now with drugs and psychologists therapy etc etc. The girls who had actually arranged my party and who were supposed to be coming to florida with me that year no longer talk to me because I had to go home and sort the flat out. They dont believe me even to this day that I got flooded, but I've moved on and the friends I have now are the most wonderful people ever. i try not to think back to the weeks that followed that weekend as they were by far my lowest, even a family bereavement since then hasnt been as tough, but I'm just glad I'm through the worst of it, and I'm glad I had real friends to help me through when all I wanted to do was give up. I hold the PH meet very close to my heart as it was the last time I felt happy before my depression overcame me.

So thanks again to the peeps who were there, I'd love to meet you all again and any more disers who wish to come along...we've just missed my 21st damn it!! Maybe if I'm working there next summer I could arrange to meet any Dis-ers who are on holiday???

Hi Kirsty,
Of course I remember you:grouphug: That day turned out pretty bad for you didn't it, but I will always remember the cute lime green ribbon in your hair:goodvibes Its nice to hear from you and that things are turning around for you, and an interview for Epcot is SSOOOO exciting, I'm very envious. Please do tell us how you get on, and a belated happy 21st to you, hope you had a good one:cheer2:

Well I just got back from my interview and it went so well. My interviewer is the head of housing for Disney international employees and is originally from Chicago. He was Eeyore in the Magic Kingdom once!!!

Thats brilliant Kirsty and very cool that you got to meet Eyeore;) Will keep my fingers crossed for you:wizard: Did they say how long until you get a decision?

they said about two to three weeks, its going to be the longest couple of weeks ever!!!
