It All Started with a trip to Walmart to buy Claritin-D

So because Wal Mart's clerk screwed up, you were supposed to think someone had stolen your identity? Then used it for buying Claritin D.

I don't get what's funny? Identity theft is a big deal and they take the whole decongestant/drug thing really seriously.

There is someone with your same name AND birthday?? That is WAY too coincidental!
There are a few women with my same name at my Doctor's-but also same birthday -that would be too weird.

No, there is someone with my same initials, same last name, first name is Deborah and her birthdate is completely different. I think someone pulled up her name and entered my license number when I first bought Claritin D.

Exactly. I don't want anyone buying Claritin D every day, using my license number.

I had a similar thing happen last time I got Sudafed at Walmart. When the tech input my drivers i.d., she said "You know there are two EthansMoms in our system?" I said, "Really? Hmmmm..." I don't think both were listed under the same license number... or at least, that's not what she said. I think she meant that there were two of us using Walmart with the same first and last names... which isn't all that uncommon. (BTW, this was also in CT... so maybe it's something with CT Walmarts?)

That's interesting. Do you have a common last name IRL? I think its 'laziness" on the part of the employees.

Because I think it's just a screw up on the part of a clerk in the pharmacy, not identity theft - but Wal Mart seemed certain that it wasn't a simple clerical error on their part, which it seemed to be.

Same first name and middle intial-and not so coincidental-first and last name are quiet common-there are 400 soldiers in the army with the same first name middle initial and last name as my husband-and three with the same birthday-its a huge pain in the tush.

There is at least one person in the miltary (or was) with the same first & last name & same middle initial and same birthday, as my DH in our area. But this guy was delinquent on child support payments and had some other charges on his record. Thankfully DH retired 3 years ago, and he got it straightened out.

Haven't found anyone with my name & birthday, either married name or maiden name. Thank God.

Hope you get it all straightened out with Wal-Mart.
