Ist timer stateroom location ?

I would like tips on location for stateroom. I am taking my grandson on West Coast Cruise. We have booked a cat 5 with verandah - room 7534 or possibly 7546 or 7548 ( next to elevators). Since I have never done this before I was wondering if mid ship was the right place to book. For best views they had 7614 .. but was afraid motion might be more.

What date West Coast Cruise are you going on? We are on the June 11th cruise and we are in 7570. We have never been on a cruise before, but it seems like a pretty good mid ship location to me!
