We are planning on doing our home in all Disney. My problem is this: we are planning on painting in the spring and I am unsure of what color to paint. Our home is open concept so the living room, kitchen and hallway all have to be the same color. I am not going with a paticular theme (ie: Winnie the Pooh) just general Disney stuff everywhere. I also like to change things around for the seasons. Any ideas? I was thinking a light taupe color or warm white, but that seems boring with exciting Disney stuff. But at the same time I don't want anything to clash.

Well...the first thing that comes to mind is the Disney paints at Home Depot! Have you seen these? They're made by Behr, so they're good quality, and they come in all sorts of colors. Some of them are very bright, Disney-ish colors, but there are also very subtle colors that might be suitable for what you're looking for.

If you find a color that hits you, you might want to build on that.

Our house is sort of "Disney" -- our front room is painted in an off-white and has two large framed Disney railroad posters hung over a log-frame futon. We also have a framed VWL print hanging over our computer desk and several Disney-framed photos around there. My kitchen/dining area opens into the front room. The bottom 1/3 of the wall is sage beadboard, with a cream border above it (used a Disney stencil that has dragonflies, and butterflies) and the top of the walls are in a pretty cranberry. I have pine furniture in the dining room (all my scrapbook furniture) and we have a faux pine beam that runs across the ceiling between the kitchen & dining room. I have an indoor window box with silk geraniums under a high window in the dining room and a gorgeous wooden Eeyore (bought at Art of Disney) on the wall next to it.

So, I guess our house is sort of Disney-WL themed....probably too much info, but maybe something I said will help! :teeth:

I understand your dilemma.
The house we moved into had no unity and I, also, wanted to decorate for the seasons and it not clash.
A decorator once told me to go with khaki.
She said that your favorite khaki pants go with everything, why not your walls.
So I did and it worked perfectly.
Hope this helps.

We went with bold primary colors. In the kitchen, red with the insides of door & window frames yellow but kept some white:

and the family room has two walls yellow and two walls blue with the alternate color inside the window frames (yellow has blue frames, etc.) and the walls alternate so it's blue, yellow, blue, yellow.

It is bright but we have all of the lithos from the Disney videos in black frames & they pop out and really draw attention to themselves so much that we changed most of the picture frames in that room to black as well.
We also have an open floor plan so the yellow trim in the kitchen ties to the yellow walls in the family room and we have added some red shelves to the family room to help tie it in as well.

Thank you for posting those pictures. I think we are going with a neautral theme for anything that won't be changed easily (walls, floor, sofa, and blinds) and that way all the Disney stuff will stand out. Your pictures are amazing. Is you whole house Disney stuff?

:p Just about. We have a china cabinet in our entry that has all of our "formal" Disney in it so everybody that walks in gets the idea right away that we're fans!
The last room to get redone will be the master bedroom and that will be set up with a Disney Cruise theme.

I recently re-decorated my den. I wallpapered but went with a light celery trim. I'm so impressed with this shade it goes with everything.

I have lots of color in this room, greens, light to dark, cranberry, golds and cream colors. The celery color goes with everything. I'm thinking of carrying it into the kitchen and dining area,
