Yes - loads of them - mince pies, steak pies,chicken pies and even macaroni pies but they dont sound as nice as banana creme pie and pumpkin pie

I have to say, I love meat pies (maybe except the mince). When I lived in Michigan you could get a meat pie up north called a pasty, and I loved them. In fact, the more I think about it, they probably originated in the UK.

We love our pasties here - the original is the cornish pasty. I haven't had one of those for ages

A pasty witha short A (like in cat) is a hand held meat pie.

If a woman is wearing a sheer shirt or bra and doesn't want certain, um, parts to be visible or become apparent, pasties are little stickers she can stick on that part to keep this from happening........

Yup, origionally they pastry was used as a container for the filling and they didn't eat it That's the best bit
