Nothing much going on here on the planning end....I guess I have caught up with myself. I finished my countdown...It starts at 128 days so I still have a few days before we can start using it! I will post a pic of it sometime soon.

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! Ours was very wet! It rained in the morning, afternoon and sprinkled during the fireworks show. It left the ground at the festival very muddy!

I am in the market for a new backpack/main diaperbag for Amelia. I have seen some at Pottery Barn kids and right now they are doing free shipping so I might have to get one!

I finished my countdown but I still have like 15 days before we can start using it! Here are some pics!

Each Mickey head has a number and we will put a Disney themed sticker over the number when that day is over.

I was reading about the online ADRs and I found out that they reset themselves at 6:01am Florida time. That is 5:01am here! September 4th is our 90 day out. I will be getting up EARLY to be sure we get the ADRs that we want.

So as I said in my last post there is not much left here to do but wait. Wait for the park hours to come out and wait for the time to make ADRs. I am not the most patient person in the world and I need something to occupy me while I wait. Then I found and advertisement for something to look forward to before our trip.






To give me just a little Disney fix to make it through the dry spell!

I couldn't believe it. Another diser (BellaSoleil) had written about going their with her daughter on her trip report. While I read about her experience I thought to myself...."I wonder if they are coming to STL". And they are! We got tickets for September 5th at 7pm for get this....

Also I am loving your mickey count down!!! I am going to have to go to home depot and steal some mickey heads Hope depot I am sure sees this pretty often and is like those darn disney people LOL!!! I also love your Vera Bag-- I also love the purple punch and might get one for my trip-- right now i have the retired petal pink that i just got from ebday-- but i might want something a little darker!! Also, to answer your question I would get the dress beforehand! The ones in Disney are so scratchy and uncomfortable. You can even get cotton princess sundresses made for you that are so beautiful. Check out Etsy.com or the disboutique thread in the family section.

This past Wednesday we decided to check out our local Six Flags. Dave was off because he has to work this weekend (Wednesday is always my day off). One of my coworkers had given me a buy one get one free ticket so we thought why not....it would be good practice and a learning experience for Disney.

As we drove up to the main entrance I noticed a sign that said Jessie MCartney 7pm tonight and I thought oh no! we are going to be overrun by teenage girls! Luckily it wasn't that bad.

As I said this was a learning experience.... but some things did not compare to Disney. I guess Six Flags has recently filed for bankruptcy and it showed. The park needed some bad TLC. It is not the park I remembered from my youth! Oh well on with our trip!

We arrived a little before 11am (they opened at 10:30am) and were greeted with characters. Amelia took them in and was ok being around them. Score we might be ok with the Disney characters

And don't forget the face characters! Wonder Woman!

In route to the little kids rides Dave saw a pretzel and wanted one (he might be as bad as another kid!). He told me I could get a funnel cake while he ate a pretzel. Well he twisted my arm....a little later our bellies were full and we were off to find rides Amelia would ride.

First a train ride (Don't laugh...I had to ride with her and I felt like a big dork!)

She didn't look too excited on the train. Next was a boat ride. Now I think this was a great lesson learned. I figuered it was a tamer version of a rocking boat.....No! Since it wasn't busy that morning we were just walking right on the rides....now I know....WATCH WHAT THE RIDE DOES BEFORE YOU PUT YOUR KID ON IT! I felt awful! Here are pics to tell the story.

The boat spun while it rocked. She was not happy and Dave and I felt awful! But we let her play in the squirt fountains for a long time to get our happy kid back!

She got soaked! We rode the big Ferris Wheel after that and she was a little scared but having Mommy and Daddy there made it ok!

We decided to get Amelia something to eat so she could settle down for a nap. I got a hot dog and fries to share with her and Dave got chili cheese fries...no pics because they were pretty gross!

We decided to ride the train around the park to get her to sleep and she fought sleep most of the ride. Two passes around the park and she was out! Dave and I decided to do some shopping and just walked around the park people watching.

We found the turkey leg stand and I asked Dave if he wanted to get one while we were there. (He had been talking about turkey legs for about 2 weeks prior)

He said if he had known they were as good as they were he would have skipped the chili cheese fries and gotten another!

After more walking around we decided to go out to the car and get our swim gear and head to the water park. Amelia woke up on the way to the car. We spent some time at the water park (sorry I forgot to take pics!) Before heading home!

Overall it was a good day. No way does Six Flags match up to Disney. But we learned some lessons and had a great time with our Daughter!

Looks like you had fun!! We tested Julia at Sesame place, and it was pretty much decided she will dislike the characters, fireworks, all dark shows, and most rides. lol. It looks like Amelia will be OK

Oh No! You still have a little while before your trip. They change so much....I am hoping mine does not go the other way! We did not get to try a dark ride. We should have because that is what a majority of the rides in MK are!

Nothing much to report. I just made a trip to our local Hobby Lobby and bought a few things for Amelia in the car ride. I found a princess magnet thing....It has a castle background with all of the Princesses/Princes as magnets. She will probably throw all of the magnets on the floor and want me to pick them up! I also bought this aquadoodle type thing but it is colored pics of the Princesses....when you put water over it with the special brush the color shows up...let dry and repeat!

I also found some treat bags to use either in the car or in a park when she gets restless. I plan on putting fruit snacks, suckers and some small cheap toy in them. I saw where someone on her would tell their kid that they were from Mickey (or whatever character they just saw) I thought that would be really neat!

I was looking on etsy and I saw a couple of cute dresses that are called pillow case dresses. My mom sews so I am trying to find a pattern for her to use to make Amelia a few. I figuered that they would be perfect because I could still have her wear a cardigan over it or a long sleeved shirt underneath and some leggins and she would still look cute for December! We could disney theme them with a patch or mickey head! I looked for a pattern at the Fabric store today but I lucked out!

Nothing much else to report! I have 3 days until we can start using our big countown (I have a countdown for my countdown!).

Thanks I will have to save that address for my mom. I went ahead and just ordered a dress from one of the sellers....my mom said she could probably figure it out by looking at one made. I ordered one in the red with white poka dots because that fabric will probably be pretty hard to find! I also am hoping she can wear it to Disney on Ice and it would be nice to have it done already!

I got the best news today!!!!!!

About 30 minutes ago I was just looking online at my Disney visa bill.....and I decided to click on news and offers to see if any thing was out there. I got the shock of my life when I saw....












FREE DINING FOR MY DATES!!!!!







I ran to get my phone right away and in about 10 minutes they added on free dining to my reservation. (Only Dave and I are eligible because Amelia is pretty much free anyway!)

In the begining I wouldn't have paid for the dining plan but getting it for free is great! That way if we miss a meal or don't use our credits to the full advantage it does not matter because it was FREE!!!!

So anyone who is a Disney visa cardholder can take advantage of this now before they open it up to the public....I think the dining goes through 12/17 excluding around Thanksgiving.

Seriously I can't wait for Dave to come home because I am so excited!

While I was pregnant we had originally liked the name Annaleigh then one of Dave's coworkers said it sounded like something else (I won't repeat it because this is a PG board so hopefully you can figure it out). We immediately changed our minds on that name. We were at Applebees eating and our waitress was named Amelia and we both looked at each other and decided then the name would be changed!

Dave wanted a $ amount that this would save us so I came up with the calculation of what it would cost us to do the dining plan....saves us $560 which is quite a bit! I am planning for breakfast at Tuskerhouse because we will see the fab 5 plus DAISY!!!!!. Daisy is one of Amelia's favs on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so she is a must see! I don't know about any other character meals......I am not into too many breakfast buffets so CP and Chef Mickey's is out and she doesn't know too many of the princesses yet. We will see what happens!

I got my top from J Crew late last summer (on sale!).....I don't wear it too often it reminds me of maternity clothes! I do like that it covers up my new post baby body though!

I can't wait to see the Osborne Lights!
