How is the food there?
We were planning to eat breakfast a few times at Islands and I was wondering if that was a good idea?
Any reviews of food and service?
(I am hoping they are good ones!!! ::yes:: )

i'd be curious to know this also......... :rolleyes1

three on a match.

me too
or is that me three.

i want to try the place but would like opinions from anyone that has been there

Their breakfast buffet is great. You can also order ala carte off the breakfast menu which is also good. It is not a cheap breakfast though.

does anyone know the hours for the island breakfast and the price?

I'd have to politely disagree about Islands...we found it very expensive and not all that wonderful for what they charge. There is a continental breakfast buffet up in the Orchid Lounge that offers some good selections for a more reasonable price. We love breakfast, but brought our own mini cereal bowls and supplemented with fresh milk, fruit and treats there. We saved our bigger meals for lunch and dinner. We were eager to be on the go anyway. I just can't justify spending that kind of money on breakfast. This is just my experience...you can look at the menu ahead of time and try it...everyone has a different experience. We did really like Jake's American Bar there for lunch and dinner and also the poolside food is good. We did Emeril's TC too.
Have fun!

Questions about the IOA character breakfast..........how much does it cost - is it worth the cost? Do we get to see a lot of characters? I have heard it is with spidey, who else? My son is 5, dd's are 11 & 12-this would be his revenge on having to sit through breakfast with cindy at the castle! we will def. bring other breakfast food to eat at our condo other mornings! TIA

Where is the Orchid Lounge? We will be staying at RPR in two weeks..WOO HOO!!! Never been there, so any tips on restaurants would be awesome!!

Is Islands next to Orchid Lounge? What are the price differences?

Thank you!!!!

:woohoo: :woohoo:

The Orchid Lounge is opposite the check in desk on the 3rd floor. Islands is on the 1st floor. My family liked breakfast there. They had some things that are atypical for breakfast like salmon. The homemade cinnamon rolls are sinful. I think it was about $18 for adults.

Unless your DS is mad about Spiderman I would not recommend this. The character interaction was terrific but the food was AWFUL!! Had to nip over to the Cinnabon shop after we came out of Confisco's :guilty: The other characters on our visit were Cat In The Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2.

I have to say, the character breakfast got a thumbs down from us as well.
I agree the food was not good and it was very expensive. Drinks like milk and juice are not included and an automatic 18% gratuity was added to our bill.
I wouldn't mind this, but considering it was a buffet, and the service for drinks was horrible, it irked me. Plus, we waited for Cat in the Hat for over 40 mins. and gave up to go ride the attractions. We saw all the characters elsewhere in the park for photo ops. Yes, Spiderman was great and personable, but not worth the whole experience just for that in my opinion.
