That's interesting and definitely makes sense. But the question we were discussing was the timing of how they recognize revenue once the inventory is sold.Disney’s timeshare units are reported as “Inventory” in their financial reporting. It is an asset valued as the lower of cost or net realizable value.
There is therefore limited risk for Disney to carry DVC inventory.
Anyway, I'll put my accounting hat away and get back on topic. The restaurant looks amazing and I can imagine will be a tough ressie during fireworks time. The link that was broken yesterday is working now and they mention more about the pocket gardens which they claim are exclusive to resort guests. I wonder how they'll police that?
