So what’s the point guess on the Penthouses?

I am guessing around the price of the cabins at CCV.

Lastly, $600-$1,200 per night for a studio is just plain crazy ya'll! Can't believe people are willing to throw down that much money for just a room. Disney CL is around $1,000 per night and that comes with food and booze. Heck, a cruise is cheaper and you get food, booze and entertainment, plus locales. People are nuts!

Club level at poly at Christmas is nearly $1600/night this year. From what I’ve seen, the opening night prices and holiday prices are substantially worse than what people are being quoted the rest of the year.

On a night a 2BR is 80, maybe 120? 130? Less than the bungalow.

Bungalows for opening night at tower would run approximately $5340 (with DVC discount and tax). That is just a little more than the tower penthouse price Paul revealed. Guessing point may be a lot closer to bungalows than people think.

Bungalows do book up for cash. Personally, I would rather stay in the penthouse if priced the same or very similar. I wonder how many others feel the same?

That's probably something in the cards someday to beef up Blizzard Beach with a few actual attractions like an aqua coaster or something.

I agree with you….. but I suppose I should be promoting the Bungalows more to help with 7m availability of the Penthouses…..

I bet the two bedroom penthouse will be priced point wise similar to bungalows. What does Disney care if people don’t book them with points? They will get the cash reservation and make a profit off selling the initial points. They win in any scenario. Right?

Bungalows (which are all considered Lake View) run between 5X and 6X the lake view studio. At VGF a GV is about 6X a VGF LV studio.

I just don’t think they can charge 6X for a “penthouse” 2BR room unless there’s some detail they haven’t shared yet. I’ll put my money on 4X-5X.

If you look at the cash pricing of the current resorts, you’d see that the ratio is not the same

So, this is not unique to the tower and why it can coordinate for the studios but not 1 bedrooms, since 1 bedrooms are almost double the points but not double the cash rate.

The plus for us is we do like 1 bedrooms so maybe, once enough inventory is declared and non owners have a shot at booking, o hope to try!!

I might have missed the news of how many 1 bedrooms there are, but I do have a concern. If it’s like VDH and there are mostly studios and only 20 or so 1 bedrooms, that will definitely turn me away as a family of five. So many have been waiting for Poly 1 bedrooms but with the deluxe studios sleeping only four, that would put a run on 1 bedrooms.

This brings the my total number to 262, not including floors 9 & 10.

By view:
Standard view - 125
Pool view - 30
Lagoon/Theme Park view - 107

By villa size:
2 Bedroom, dedicated - 6
Duo Studio - 30
1 Bedroom - 88 (including lock-offs)
Studio - 138 (including lock-offs)

Some guess work because this was based on the blueprint like @Jwaire shared for the first floor only.

Still gives everyone an idea of approximate room counts.

I'm an AP and thinking of calling tomorrow to see if a 2 bedroom (not penthouse) is available from January 17th to the 25th. Anyone have any idea how much that might cost? I have a reservation for a 2 bedroom at BLT for 13905 but am kind of concerned about the refurbishment schedule.

Well, it's 5,000 for opening night, I'd imagine an 8 night stay to cost closer to 30,000+/-4000. But that's purely a guess obviously.

Right. A regular 2BR is pretty reliably 2.6X-2.9X a studio.

It seems like the pool view (“preferred view”) will have views of MK if you turn your head

Oh woops sorry misread your comment, if that's the case I'd base my estimate on what Grand Floridian/Riviera's 2BR is at.

I love the new rooms! I think the design is gorgeous. I can't wait to stay there and I plan to add on points direct. I love the second bathroom in the 1 BR.

Although we just got back from a stay in a 2BR at BLT and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there. I was tempted just to buy more resale points at BLT until I saw this video.
