@pkrieger2287 appreciates you taking over cruising when Poly news breaks. That figures.
I will be on the Disney Magic all next week.
I hope the guides on the Magic are in the loop, as I will have lots of questions and ALL DAY to ask them. lol
.
If you are already a member they will match your current use year if available. What options do you have for the use year on something like this as a direct purchase?
I agree. The virtual PIT tour reminded me a lot of the VDH tour. I'm really not a fan of the galley kitchen. It opens things up but you lose so much counter space. Looks nice but doesn't seem very functional.I agree. The lens on the virtual tour camera may distort this a bit, but it feels very similar to VDH. The 1 bedroom in VDH feels much smaller than Riviera. The VDH bathroom area is lovely but the actual bedroom feels tiny to me, and this tour looks like they went that route here.
The other thing I worry about is that maintenance reports keep coming up about VDH, a year in. Things appear to be made pretty cheaply, although they are beautiful on the surface. Perhaps all the carvings in Island Tower means it won’t suffer the same fate, but we will see.
I ended the call when they tried to give me a different use year than I requested; they called back the next day as one "opened up" in my use year.If you are already a member they will match your current use year if available.
If you are new they try and steer you into one but you should be able to ask for the one you want but you may need to be firm on this.
I think they look to be about the size of the CC 1 bedrooms. We find those to be just fine.I agree. The virtual PIT tour reminded me a lot of the VDH tour. I'm really not a fan of the galley kitchen. It opens things up but you lose so much counter space. Looks nice but doesn't seem very functional.
ohh I like your signature icons.I think they look to be about the size of the CC 1 bedrooms. We find those to be just fine.
It’s “magic” we just found some points in that use year.I ended the call when they tried to give me a different use year than I requested; they called back the next day as one "opened up" in my use year.

It reminds me of a recent car purchase I made where they were trying to lowball my trade in relative to KBB. I emailed the salesperson (I never sit in an office when negotiating) and said that if that is the best they can do then I’ll just hold onto my current vehicle because I doubt it will depreciate any more over the next year and wait for the <insert future year> to come out with <insert new features here> in a year or so.I guess you could always say it’s such an important point you are going to buy resale to get what you want and end discussions.
I also would like a fixed week in a one bedroom at Polynesian. If anyone is feeling generous.Unbelievably, DH said this morning he wants a fixed week in a 1 BR Poly. Just matter of fact. We were taking a drive up past the big lake, the sun was shining, birds chipring and he starting asking how many points we owned and should we sell them to buy Poly.
I tried not to spit out my coffee as I was sipping it through a straw...um we own OKW 2057 direct and resale. He started in how OKW has lost its shine and we should be on the monorail. All I can say is I am glad I wasn't driving as they would have been hauling us out of that lake LOL!
Wonders never cease. TBD.![]()

This line immediately brought the scenery at the start of MMRR to mind - are you sure you weren’t dreaming? We were taking a drive up past the big lake, the sun was shining, birds chipring

I am sure, but it was a twighlight zone moment! He wanted to shop for tools (like I shop for clothes or DVC or whatever) so I decided to go for the ride. I usually have to listen to which size ratchet he wants to buy so let me tell you, that was the last thing I expected to hear! This line immediately brought the scenery at the start of MMRR to mind - are you sure you weren’t dreaming?![]()
