I was about to book a dolphin excursion when I read a warning about "island time" vs "ship time". Does the ship dock in Cozumel at 10:00 a.m. island time or ship time? Thanks!

On the ship they adjust to local time. So be sure to set your watch. If you get off the ship at 10:00 ship time it is also 10:00 local time. You can get the time off of the tv channel that gives that ship location, speed, etc.. info - I think it is channel 14. Have fun!

Glad to know this because when we were on the Voyager of the Seas last August we "always" stayed on ship time in each port.

they leave a note card on your bed also, reminding you to turn your watches/clocks back an hour before you go to bed, or first thing when you get up...

Plus it's on TV reminding you, I think channel 50 or 52. And you can see exactly what time it is along with the outside temperature, the 3 pools temperature, the wave height, how many miles we've traveled since Port Canaveral, how many more to the next port, etc. fascinating!!! or at least it was to me, but I'm easy to impress.

Just remember to set your watches/clocks back when you leave Cozumel.

Hey Jeanny, I want to go back on the Magic with you!!!!! It's amazing that it came and went so quickly. Somehow I always feel like I missed out on something.
I've got a great picture of us that I'll have to send you. E mail me your e mail address if you can.
Hope all is well.

Hey Carolyn~

Well, I REALLY wish we were on the magic this week, it's been -7 degrees with a -45 to -50 wind chill factor... bbbbbrrrrrr

I'm sending you a pm .

Carolyn & Jeanny, it was really a short cruise wasn't it.

Jeanny, apparently your curse is still working, the weather last night totally bypassed us (rain only) and I understand that you got a good "dusting" again. Keep your cold up North! We don't need it here in Maryland.

Hey fellow Jan 3 Westerners. Glad to see you all made it home safely!. Not too bad here in Ohio, only in the mid 20's

I never got to meet anyone but Jeanny I was so busy on Monday I forgot about the meet. AND I WAS CONFINED to my cabin by Thursday lower GI Symptoms was so sick I ddin't care! Disney made it as comfortable as poss. VCR in room no beverage charge for room service, free laundry service and a rep from guest service visited me daily. It did turn out to be a Lampoon cruise!! I book the same cruise for July 31 I have to do the Western over!

Ship's time is local time.

Since the ship leaves on time with you or without you, be sure to CHANGE your Watches when you are supposed to! We have witnessed people barely making it back to the ship because they thought that they still had an hour (didn't change their watches). That is one reason all aboard time is before departure time (DCL doesn't really want to leave anyone behind).

This is true if you're sailing on the Eastern Caribbean itinerary between the last Sunday in October and the first Sunday in April. You could get left behind at St. Maarten or St. Thomas if you don't change your watch.

At some other ports of call you might get back to the ship an hour early!

Hey John, how are you doing? I've got a great picture of your as well! And yes, the cruise was way too short. Brack and Annette were so lucky to have stayed on board for another week.

I see you're heading back to Florida, have a great trip.

Jeanny~sorry it's been so cold for you. My husband has to go to Tarrytown New York on Sunday for a few days and he's dreading it. I haven't been in the cold since we left NY 4 1/2 years ago. I'll send some warm thoughts your way!!!

Hey Carolyn~
tell him to dress very, very, very warm... it's still so cold up here.. the wind chill is unbelievable!

Please tell me you're still wearing shorts!!! I can only wear them when I'm at the fitness center at lunch walking on my treadmill

I could feel the warmth before. Now, I miss the warmth!! :(
