check engine light, I got one car that is older and the thing is allways on. I keep cheking the engine, its still there

nope... I hope not, or I'll be really really angry cause it's a new 2004 Freestar.

My mom-in-law's nissan altima does tho'.

I had one. It was the XYZ or RSVP valve, or some other alphabet soup thing. $200, but the car does run better.

If you checked to make sure the engine is still there, that should take care of it. ;)

Yep, one day it will blow up.:charac2:

Exactly what happened to our car with the perpetual check engine light on - how did you know?!

miss cleo told me

Hey you know what...I lied!

DH's light is on! The exceleration is Aweful! So we are going ot have it checked after the Chaos of the president's funeral is over. (not meant in a bad way...they are just telling everyone here not to drive for the next few days!)

Just turn up the radio. That should take care of it.:rolleyes1

tonight I had an extra treat, my airbag light come on

My idiot light comes on a lot, I just ignore it.;) BTW, it's my truck's idiot light, not my personal one.;)

Mine was on, I took it to the dealer. THey said it was telling them I had a problem in the automatic transmission. I have a manual trans. They downloaded some updates for the computer chip. It's all better now. And it was free, I have such low miles, a lot of stuff is still under warranty.

I had an older car and the check engine light stayed on. No mechanic could find the problem. I would have been worried if the light had gone off
