I had one. It was the XYZ or RSVP valve, or some other alphabet soup thing. $200, but the car does run better.

DH's light is on! The exceleration is Aweful! So we are going ot have it checked after the Chaos of the president's funeral is over. (not meant in a bad way...they are just telling everyone here not to drive for the next few days!)

My idiot light comes on a lot, I just ignore it. BTW, it's my truck's idiot light, not my personal one.

Mine was on, I took it to the dealer. THey said it was telling them I had a problem in the automatic transmission. I have a manual trans. They downloaded some updates for the computer chip. It's all better now. And it was free, I have such low miles, a lot of stuff is still under warranty.

I had an older car and the check engine light stayed on. No mechanic could find the problem. I would have been worried if the light had gone off
