I think Oct 4th sold out due to the GayDay's that weekend.

Oct 11th is Columbus day weekend and several people have the day off.

We went took a trip once over Oct 11th not realizing it was Columbus Day. The parks were very crowded.

I hope you are able to get a ticket for the date you need.

The Disney Parks Blog included an image of the map for MHP (it was added to an existing post about MNSSHP).

Ah, cool. I saw the one he posted early that looked like a screen grab from the Blog entry and it was still kind of grainy (at least when I zoomed it was still hard to read).

I've been to a sold out party in the past and while the crowds are there, it's still a lot of fun!

Every party I have been to has been sold out. Most of the time it seems relatively quiet. Last year it seemed busier but still a ton of fun!

Not to threadjack, but I have a side question, is DLR pretty empty the mornings of a sold out MHP? Would it be a good time to go?

We are going the 11th........I didn't realize it was Columbus day weekend. I hope it's not crazy. Oh well, I guess we will deal! We wanted to go earlier in the month as we are hoping no rain because our costumes light up and we aren't sure what will happen if they get wet.

Just a reminder of something I posted in earlier threads. If the party is sold out, it is worth giving the Tickets and Reservation line a call to see if there might still be some tickets available. That is what we did for the party on the 4th and they still had a few available even though the webpage said it was sold out. Chances are there won't be any available but it is still worth a phone call if you don't have flexibility in your dates.

Also, check at City Hall, and at your hotel Guest Services desk, if you're staying at a Disney Property Hotel. (It's worth a try!!!)

No necessarily. I would expect it to be a normal "fall" day at Disneyland. Day guests will visit and then hop over to DCA. The parks also get VERY crowded in the last 3 hours of the regular day, as Party guests can arrive during this time with only their party ticket.



Regarding Sold Out parties. Disney has been known to release more tickets the day of the party.

When we booked our upcoming vacation through Disney, we tried to do the MHP tickets over the phone. For the date we are going, they were sold out through the vacation planning office. However, they were still available on the website, at the ticket office, and through telephone ticket sales. I was told that each department has a certain number of tickets they can sell and once that department is sold out, they can't sell anymore for the date. That's why sometimes you can get them if you call, etc. even if the website has them sold out.
