Is your MHP SOLD OUT yet??

Is it normal for so Many dates to sell out?

Last year, either all the dates sold out in advance, or all but one sold out. Sherry E and I had this discussion in the Halloween superthread a few months back. She said they all sold out, I said that the date we went, the Monday before Halloween, wasn't sold out as of a couple days before. But she said she thinks even that one sold out before the day of, and she's probably right (she almost always is when it comes to holiday seasons at DLR). Hi Sherry, if you're reading this! :wave2:

I merged the two 'MHP selling out' threads together because there is no reason to have more than one. One is enough, and the number of Halloween-related threads popping up is getting to be too much.

Hi, Bob!

Yep, I think that the party you mentioned -- as you said -- was open until the last minute, and then I think it sold out too (maybe there was a rush of people who had attended previous parties who decided they wanted to go again at the last minute?:confused3). I could be wrong on that but I think so. It stayed open for a long time though. I would imagine this year will be the same -- one lone straggler party will stay open while all of the others sell out!

Also, I think we established in the Superthread that, last year, there were 2 parties that sold out first, before the others. Then there was a stall, or a break. All of a sudden, over a 3-week period of time spanning mid-to-late September and the first week of October, 8 more parties sold out. And then that lone straggler pre-Halloween party was the lone holdout.

This year there are 2 additional parties that did not exist last year, so it should be interesting to see what happens.

Oh man I was hoping for low crowd levels. Guess not

I think we're all hoping to have low crowds for the MHP we'll be atttending... :rotfl:

We have a 5 day hopper, I hope the daytime crowds are manageable.

We were there on Tuesday (sold out) and the crowd levels were not too bad. The line to get into the park at 3pm was crazy (all the way back to DCA) - but it moved very quickly (20 minutes are less).

We really had no wait or less than 15 on most rides. (Indy, POTC, Ghost Galaxy SM, RRCS, ISWAA, Dumbo, Storybook, Casey Jr.) The only rides that seemed to have lines were Peter Pan and Haunted Mansion.

October is no longer a low crowd month. What with Halloween Time, Gay Days, UEA, MHP, etc., this is becoming an increasingly busy and crowded time in the parks. But, with good planning and positive attitudes, there is still plenty of fun to be had by all. General rule is to plan for crowds (in the parks and at the parties) so that if it is less crowded than you expected, great! If not, at least you will be prepared.

Looking at Disney's MHP ticket page, ALL are SOLD OUT except Wednesday 10-30-13.

If you are considering the 30th, you might want to get busy. It's only a matter of time until those tickets are gone too.
