Is your luggage nice

Our two smaller pieces are still in good shape, but the middle-size piece had to be thrown out after the airlines ruined it. The handle wouldn't come up anymore, and one of the corner pieces was broken. The large piece is still useable, but doesn't look so nice anymore.

We have another cruise planned for next January and on my "to do before the cruise" list is to buy some new luggage so I'm hoping to get it on sale somewhere at some point.

My rolling carry-on is still in great shape, mainly I guess because it never gets checked at the airport so the luggage handlers don't have the chance to ruin it.

Well, it looks nice! It's bright blue/aqua hard shell with 4 roller wheels and the large suitcase and hand luggage match. However, it was from a discount department store (similar to Walmart) and was very cheap!

Not really, the luggage is older and beat up at this point. It has been used for trips, but also shipping through UPS, which I suspect requires all packages and suite cases to go through a 50 foot drop test at UPS facilities before reaching its final destination.

Ours is in decent shape considering I got it for my high school graduation in 1988. But it's dated, so not stylish at all. I guess that makes it a deterrent against somebody stealing it. Nobody would want it. Also, it's a floral tapestry pattern, there are never any others like it, not even a close match. Rather hideous really.

I bought a couple of Jeep brand bags at TJ Maxx about 2 years ago that I use when I really need to check baggage. Otherwise, I have several Vera Bradley carry on bags that I use for short trips. They hold a lot and are very functional and colorful. So yes, right now my luggage is decent

It's nothing special, but it's not beat up or anything. Most of our travel is to WDW and we have an Owner's Locker, so we really don't need much luggage.

Define "nice".

Certainly even the most common brands have a variety of price ranges. High end is another matter. You can spend thousands on Gucci, Louis Vutton, or Rimowa.

I bought a couple of sets at Cowtco and they've served us well over the years. Just tow piece spinner sets. Maybe one 27" and the other 21".

Ours consists solely of military issued duffle bags. The kids were issued sea bags with Sea Cadets and the spouse has plenty he's acquired over the years. Maybe one day we will upgrade but for now what we have works. And it was free.

Not really. It wasn't expensive when we bought it 18 years ago. No one really sees it, though, we drive everywhere.

We do not buy expensive luggage. The airlines just wreck it anyway!

Nope! Well, it's not pretty but it sure is strong and sturdy! It's a dark forest green color that's been with us for many many years. I love it though :)

After years of cheap and mid-line priced luggage; one piece badly damaged by an airline we finally invested in good luggage that although rather expensive (gulp) has held up very well. DH chose hard-sided and I chose soft but we like them both. DS still uses the very first piece of decent luggage I bought years ago, a "ballistic" grade smaller piece that has truly worn well. For us, good luggage has been worth it!

Yes it is very nice. It never says a word when I hand it to a stranger at the check in counter, never complains about being overweight, and never complains when I put my dirty clothes in it after returning from a trip.

NOW, we have some luggage that is nice.
I had bought a very nice Pilot's carry on.
And we finally JUST bought a very nice large suitcase (almost too big for me!)
Got this expensive luggage for pennies on the dollar, on sale, with a ton of Sears points.

OMG, I like to travel, and we just used hand-me-down god-awful old, heavy luggage that were DH's parents.
Embarrasing to say the least.
On was SO bad, that we packed plenty of extra stuff for use on a trip to Mexico, then cut way back and only brought one piece of luggage back with us, to save on the checked baggage fees. Just left it there.

Okay, then, the other piece, the cheap plastic wheels cracked and busted half off, so here we are going down thru the airport, pulling this heavy suitcase, and it is llike, very loudly, ka-thump, ka-thump, bam!.... ka-thump, ka-thump. bam!... the whole way!

nope! I like to spend my money on vacation, not the suitcases! I have soe solid wheeled bags from Goodwill that I bought for 7.00 each.... so when they finally get destroyed by the baggage handlers,I won't be sad
