wow ppl i am atleast on for the whole day including b4 school. wow wow wow and yeah thx for the shakespheare lesson. LOL

I guess the overall view of this thing is, don't let your grades drop because we don't want to have to live with an "education deprived" higher person of authority years from now! lol. The other piece of information learned in this thread is, watch out because brain inteneds to become president! lol. (Note to Brain: When and if you become president, is it safe to say that I knew you even though I have only ever seen your posts? LOL)

I cant help but wonder... where are the parents here?

iluvthattink...if all parents were as dilligent and insightful as you are, us teachers would have a much easier job. Thank you for your dedication to your son and to helping extend what we do while he is at home.
Lol, yw

Coriander and Purpleduck, you two quack me up!

Here's a copy of the paper my son's teacher had in his orientation packet at the beginning of school. Maybe there's something in there that could help someone get better grades.

How to Prepare for and Successfully Take Tests
1. Study all notes and worksheets given in class/
2. Study any applicable material in the textbook.
3. Give special attention to the following when preparing for a test:
a. History: Veritas cards and handouts
b. Math: Math Resource Book and book examples
c. Literature: Book, Handouts, and Exercises
d. Science: Notes from class and activities
e. Spelling: handouts and spelling rules
4. Pay special attention during classroom review times.
a. Write down questions Mrs. Savant tells you are going to be on the test!
b. Mark in a distinctive way any materials in your notes that you are told will appear on the test,
c. Be sure to give special attention in your study time to that information that you have highlighted from class reviews.
5. PLAN AHEAD!
Do NOT wait until the night before the test to study. Review in small portions all along and do not try to cram at the last minute.
Remember: Procrastination is the thief of time!
6. Review work covered in class on a daily basis.
7. Try new methods of studying to discover the style best for the way God has made YOU! Students have different styles of learning, so discover what works best for you. Suggestions:
a. make notecards/flashcards (Great for vocabulary and important terms) b. outline "notes" from class or make study note outlines
c. outline the chapter in the book while reading
d. have someone test you orally
e. use memory devices- acrostics, lists, repetition
f. make up songs and jingles of the information being learned
8. Find a quiet place to study so we can focus and concentrate. Do not study in front of the TV.
9. During the test:
a. Read the directions and questions carefully.
b. Do NOT "rush" through the material.
c. THINK before you write.
d. Answer completely with good grammar.
e. ALWAYS check your work by rereading your answers:
• Does my answer make sense?
• Does my response answer the question asked?
• Is my answer complete?
• Is my answer reasonable?
f. If you complete the test early, use the extra time to re-check your work.
10. After the test: Correct all errors on the test when returned so you will be prepared for the midterm and final exams.
11. Honor the Lord in all your actions and seek his guidance and aid.

I will admit i play vmk most of the day. before school i check vmk and after school i play it until dinner. My grades are fine because I don't daydream in class, I pay attention and retain knowledge LOL. Crazy thought i know! Also i get my homework done during study hall. It is an addicting game but I know i am smart and don't want to ruin my future! My virtual future! ;) :goodvibes

i didn't need you to tell me how to do my work... i do my work just some stuff i dont feel like doing and don't give me a lesson on that too plz

um this may be strange but vmk brought up my grades!! yippi kiyay!!
