Is Via Napoli any good?

My DH and I have an ADR for Via Napoli next week for dinner but with Epcot having the Outdoor Kitchens during the Flower & Garden Festival, we are considering cancelling it and eating samples instead. Is Via Napoli worth it?

Yes!!!!! We go every time. Love their salad, pizza is wonderful. Acqua Fresca to drink. Dd swears by the spaghetti and meatballs--she usually only eats meatballs made at home. Great atmosphere. I love watching the open kitchen. Ohhh! Rice balls and frito misto (fried veggies).

We tried it last year and loved it. The rice balls are wonderful. We are skipping it this year only because we want to eat at some of the food booths at the Flower and Garden show.

I think Via Napoli is great. If you don't go to EPCOT very often, I would definitely keep it. But if you do go often, I would take advantage of sampling food at the Flower and Garden Festival, as it is not always there.

Via Napoli is a favorite... but I also love eating at the food booths. Now, I normally go during Food and Wine so a bit different, but I skip Epcot restaurants for the most part.

Really good pizza. Not quite as soggy as authentic Neapolitan pizza but still good.

The first time we ate there, we had spaghetti. We didn't much care for it at all. The sauce was very watery and it didn't have much flavor. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day.
The Second time we ate there, we had the pizza. We did enjoy the pizza very much.
I must also say that the Tiramisu dessert was very very good.

We enjoyed the pizza at Via Napoli. That said, given the option this past trip, we chose to eat mainly at the Flower and Garden food booths.

Not that great and over priced for what it is. Sub-par example of wood fired pizza so it's a bad value at those prices. Most likely will never visit again.

It CAN be very good, but in our experience, it's mostly very inconsistent. We've had really good pizza there...not "the best ever" as you'll sometimes hear here, but very good. We've also had some less than impressive pizza there. No rhyme or reason to the inconsistency.

We didn't care for it and won't eat there again. We have amazing pizza and Italian where I live and it was just soso to us. I also cook Italian amd grew up with the big family Sunday dinner so I rarely get Italian out as I am a bit picky with it.

It was subpar. Very noisy, food was mediocre

BUT. Could have hit them in on an off night. Or it may be an expectations thing- I am really into pizza and I'm a really big foodie in general. It's my opinion that the food is good at WDW for what it is. But it just doesn't match up to the best of the best off property. It doesn't matter where you are talking about. If I go in expecting Michelin star= disappointment. If I go in thinking- well, I don't get morrocan very often at home and it is probably eduble- exceeds expectations. (To clarify I don't mean that I expect Disney to actually reach Michelin star level- but the prices are up there at that level and people on these boards rave about their favorites. So there's sort of a hype around these places that doesn't match up to reality)

I don't know if you watch bobs burgers... but the best way I can describe it is that Disney restaurants lack that "exquisite mouth feel":yay: it's usually GOOD. But not something I'd go out of my way for in a major city. On the right track, usually a bit too numbed down, mass produced.

And when I was there, terrible service at Napoli. Really out of character for Disney!

I have to agree with others who did not have a good experience and will not be returning. I had the pizza and thought it was meh. The only thing special or different was that it was incredibly thin, and not crunchy (which would have made it better for me). My mother had the chicken parmesan and said that Olive Garden's is better. And I had heard that the fried cheese was amazing, but I also have had better at our local diner.

We've eaten there a couple times and enjoyed their pizza and pasta dishes. We happen to love Trattoria al Forno on the Boardwalk for Italian now.
If you've never been for the F&G though I might skip it and try the booths! I went solo for a day in March and sampled several booths, the food was great! Fave was the Florida fresh booth shockingly enough. But I did try the booth in Italy and that was yummy too. Have fun!

VERY noisy. I'd ask to sit outside if you eat there. The food isn't bad. Not the best pizza ever but we'd eat there again.
