Is Valet Parking Transferable on The Same Day?

They started charging the $6 a day for valet parking right after our visit last summer, so I'm not sure how this works now.

If I valet park at my resort in the morning, then take the car for dinner at the CR, can I use the same valet ticket, or will I be charged $6 again?

Also, if I valet park my car at night, and then don't move it the next day, will I be charged for two days of valet parking, since the car was in the valet lot? Anyone use valet parking recently and know about these things? Thanks!

You are charged $6 per day regardless whether you use your car or not. You will have a tag left in your car with the date on it, indicating that you paid for that day. You will not be charged for moving your car around from resort to resort that day.

Thanks for the quick response! Sounds like if we use valet parking on a given day, we should make the most of it and use it to eat at or visit the other resorts.

Also, saw your countdown, and we are leaving on the 29th. What dates will you be at the YC? Maybe we'll see you there!

Valet parking is great! And Jel0511 is right -- we went to b'fast at several different resorts and used their valet parking without charge (since we already paid at WL).

Sometimes the valet forgets to hang the tag in your car. In our case, WL ran out and they gave us a "receipt" which worked just as well no matter where we went. We just told the valet at the next resort we had valet parking at WL and off they went with our car.

This can definitely be a foot-saver -- given that Disney parking lots are so far from the resorts!

Keep in mind that the valet parking fee is not transferrable to the Swan or Dolphin and the S/D's fee is not acceptable at a Disney resort.

Also, if anyone has a handicapped parking permit, valet parking is complimentary. You should still tip though .
