Of course I now have to put you on my hate mail spam list because you referenced non-Disney animated characters on a Disney oriented board. :sad2:

How could you even consider mentioning them here. Sacralige!!!

I grew up with Looney Tunes on Saturday mornings and The Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights.

Bugs and Mickey have lived a happy co-existence in my life for years. :)

If I might ask some questions please?

After buying a "2005" issue of a bound "guide" to WDW....it still has the "Dream Maker" packages listed for tickets. How updated is TGM?

Our trip is not until Jan 2006....will I be allowed access until then if I sign up now?

Has anyone used the site on a pda or other handheld device? How was it? This might make a diff as I will have access to the web thru my techno-geek Treo at WDW :)

All righty then....let's see what happens!

Question 1. I'd have to check for you (or someone else would have to chime in), but I think he's got his info updated with the new ticket info. At any rate, there have been lots of discussions about them on the forums.

Question 2. Yes, your AVP is good from the time you sign up till 60 days after you return. My trip is scheduled for late July 2006 and I have full access to all articles.

Question 3. No idea. I'll have to defer to someone else on this one.

Hope this helps! :flower:

You would have access to the site until 60 days after your trip.

Don't hold the package changes against UOG. With the lead time for printing and Disney shaking everything up this year. If you go to www.touringplans.com they will have updates to the printed version and analysis of the new packages, dinning etc. You can also use the trip planner.

I am envious of having handheld web surfing available at WDW. Now they just need to add a GIS system with live wait time updates and you will be all set.

TGM is updated almost daily. Even when Mike is in the park touring I see him working on his site in the wee hours of the morning etc. Of course he is not perfect. But, his advice and information are as current as it is possible to be.
When you sign up you are free to use the site any time thru your vacation dates plus. Also, the subscribers on the forums are very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions and Mike himself will personally answer where needed. Try it, your money back is guaranteed if you are not satisfied.
Just remember to go thru the information following the step by step plan before doing all the links. Enjoy.

Who's to say that the poster DIDN'T request a refund?

Regardless, why the strong desire to censor those who have an opinion that differs from yours? When someone starts a thread entitled "Is Tour Guide Mike worthwhile?", shouldn't we assume that they want to hear the good, bad AND ugly?

We all know that TGM offers a satisfaction guarantee, but that doesn't mean folks should throw money at him before asking a few questions.

As I read this thread, there are people who like it and people who don't. Isn't that the point of a DISCUSSION board? :confused3

Well, when I said "you," I meant anyone who doesn't like the TGM site and feels like they were "misled" into buying something it wasn't. It is my opinion that TGM has NOT misrepresented his site - simply view the FAQs on his site before you sign up. The FAQ section is very detailed in what you are purchasing. There are many pages within his site that you can view prior to purchasing.

I have NO desire to censor anyone, and I don't believe my post suggested that. But I can still have the opinion that some posts are nitpicking TGM's site. That doesn't mean I think the people making the comments are mean.

Important side comment just for people considering an AVP purchase... The updates are more frequent for the current month and next month to keep up with the flurry of changes Disney makes. Making minor updates to the Summer Survival Guide in December would be a waste of resources.

You are automatically notified of updates for your month via threads and emails from your vacation club membership for your particular month.
