Is Tour Guide Mike worth it???

We are planning our 2nd trip in Nov. of 2007---We want to make the most of our trip. Is the fee worth it for joining TGM??? Does he give really good info--I mean you guys did a wonderful job of helping us plan our trip last July!!
So what do you think?

I am bumping in 'cause I am curious to know as well. I use a TA with a free TGM perk for spending $2000 but I am having trouble logging into the site right now. I am anxious to know how it all works and it looks to be an important tool.

Really, that is the key word... tool. Any tool that can help in your planning sounds like a good investment to me. When it comes to Disney planning, any advice that saves either time, money, or any potential vacation catastrophe, is well worth a $20 investment today.

I used TGM for my recent trip in December. He was right on the money for MVMCP. I picked the night he told me to (my original choice was sold out which equals crowded) and did things in the order he told me. Result: we walked on rides, shows were not crowded, parade was not crowded, we got a excellant view of the fireworks.

We went during spring break last year and he was well worth it! I thought it was worth the money for the best days alone. The rest (and there was plenty!) was just icing on the cake!

Absolutely! Our first trip was 12/05 and Mike made it an amazing trip. I've just resigned up with Mike since we are going 9/07. Make sure your spend plenty of time reading his articles. They are full of information that you typically wouldn't know.

I just checked TGM to get some info for my upcoming trip, but they haven't updated to add the changes at Living Seas (actually, just "Seas" now, I guess). No info on the Nemo musical at AK yet, etither

He had a special, you got $3 off--so I joined for $18.95 and I have been on every since!!! I checked his info for this past Thanksgiving and learned what park he said to go to on Thanksgiving morning!!! I would have been in MK with all of the crowd!!

It's absolutely worth every penny! We've done many trips without it. Once we found TGM though we won't go back without it.

I love TGM!
We went to WDW for the first time 9/06 and thanks to TGM and the Dis, of course, I had a wealth of information and didn't feel like "them" at all. We hit the parks with all the confidence in the world. I must say, WDW was a little intimidating at first, but my TGM and Dis knowledge kicked it and our trip was great!

I have to agree with everyone else! TourGuideMike rocks! His advice on which days to visit which park are right on the money and his touring plans for the parks worked for us every day. We walked on almost every ride all week long! Go for it... you won't regret it. Even for a WDW veterans I think TGM has lots to offer!

I think it really just depends...
If you are wanting to follow his directions...he is usually right on the money!
BUT, if you are not one for following a schedule or someone else plans then it would not be as worth it for you. You still may be able to pick up a few ideas and such.

Ok, I was finally able to access TGM through my free perk from my TA. BTW, if you need the name of the TA with the free TGM perk, just PM me (I am sure you have found it by now, the are a very popular TA for Disney vacations).

Anyway, I am amazed at the level of customized detail for my specific travel week. Having only had access to the site for about 12 hours now, I can already tell you that it would be well worth the $20. In fact, I think they are undercharging.

I am willing to suggest that if you give it a try, and do not find the advice helpful, I am betting you could get a refund. But, once you are on there and begin the read through the various tools on his site, you will no doubt be satisfied.

Yes This will the 3rd trip we have used TGM for and he has never failed us. In fact, we have saved so much time following his recommendations. For us, it is WELL worth the money.

I am currently in WDW, and using TGM on the BUSIEST week of the year, where they have closed each park at least once.
Having TGM, and not being one of THOSE families has been awesom. We have not waited for anything, as TGM does not like you to wait. I will not come back with out him. He has a wealth of knowledge. WELL worth the $$.
I keep looking for him...havent spotted him though. LOL
