I thought she was the daughter of a war hero but not a lord and that the Emperor bestowed some sort of title to her at the end of the movie.

I haven't seen the movie in years, he may have been a war hero and if her dad was indeed a war hero he would have been given a title or lands equipment to that of a lord I believe. I forget my history stuff from chinese class. Sorry. lolz.

I looked up to see if she was bestowed a title, it just said she was to receive high honors. I thought she became the kings adviser or something replacing that annoying prick with the pedo mustache. (I'm terribly sorry, but that's how I think of him)
