Dis-Freak actually took the pic but I had to share it. We were under the porch at the ice cream shop. It was so funny! They were the only one's holding there spots and had there ponchos tucked under them! I want to say it rained like that for alittle over an hr. Then everything opened back up.

That's not me, but substitute the location for Epcot (near Italy)...the year was 2002, and this could be me and DH holding our prime spots for Illuminations! We also had umbrellas in addition to ponchos.

We were there that day and walked by the "dedicated parade watchers" DD and DS both stated--"They still cancelt he parade if it rains right?" I had to laugh at the comment, I think DD--she's a die hard-- would have lined up right next to them if I hadn't answered "yes".

I sat through a drizzle (nothing like that in the photo) one time for a couple of friends to see the late parade as they had never seen it. I was secretly miserable but maintained my Disney attitude.

I never would have done it had they not came over the loud speakers and said it was merely delayed and began putting up the ropes (but I understand the weather goes awry quickly in Florida - not their fault for the weather!). It was yucky and I desperately wanted to just stake out a table in the Plaza Restaurant and have a sandwich.

Just so you all know, that is my mother and father!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They weren't sitting because they were waiting for the parade, they were sitting because my mother was in pain. She had to have her appendix removed the next day at Celebration Hospital!!!!!!!!!!

Being from CA, I can say we don't get rain like that but a few times a year, and when I first saw the pic I was just as amazed by the other people in the photo simply waiting for it to stop, lol.

Thanks for the funny picture, but now I'm wondering if my Dollar Tree ponchos are going to keep me dry, or if I should just spring for the WDW ones when we get there...
