I have to have some out patient surgery on 11/4 in a local hospital. My Mom notified me this past weekend that she is scheduled also for out-patient surgery on the same day at the same hospital but for something totally different. Don't know what time hers is but mine is scheduled for noon. Do you think we could hold each others hand? I have never had surgery so this will be a new one but have had 3 kids so have been in the hospital before but not at this particular one.

Unfortunately, they'll probably hurry you into pre-op and you won't even see each other if it's busy. But just knowing that each other is there might be comforting. In any event, good luck to both of you!
