I wouldn't do a water park and then try to see the Animal Kingdom. You will be exhausted before you get there. I have to agree with most everyone else, you have too many water park days, especially with little ones.

I also say one day at a water park is plenty. How about adding some miniature golf. I too would not go to Disney quest with a two year old. I don't recall do you have Hoppers and where are you staying. I'm assuming you'll have a car.

Everyone is different. I've done a 8-9 day trip and have visited water parks 2-3 times in that trip. We really enjoy it, esp since we normally visit in August when its scorching hot!! its a lot of fun.

AK is a half day park for us. There's just not enough for us to stick around all day. Plus, that park is too hot!!! It drains me. We'd be ok with doing half day at AK, and the other half day at HS or Dis.Springs for example. We've done this a few times.

I think if you want to do a water park 2-3 times in a trip, you should spread them out more like someone else suggested.

There is no wrong way to do Disney! You do what is best for your family. That being said we have a trip coming up that is 11 days 10 nights, we have 5 day PH WP and more tickets. We will be alternating our park and WP days. This will give us "rest" days between our long park days. We will hit the WP at open and stay for a few hours (I see maybe until 2 at the latest) then head back to our resort for a nap and maybe DS for the evening or resort hop and early to bed. This will give us plenty of rest time because there will be no stroller this year for our 8 yr old.

I think doing the water parks for 3 days is fine, we love watermarks in our family. If this is how you want to do it, go for it.

You can always adjust as you go. If you do the water parks the first couple days, then decide you want to switch it up on the 3rd water park day and go to a park instead, you can. See how it goes then adjust/change if you need to.

Way too much water park time, too little park time for kids those ages! The kids will be just as happy in the resort pools and you'll actually be able to relax a little bit. AK is much more than a half-day park.

So....what everyone on this website says (maybe not EVERYONE....but almost everyone) is that EPCOT, AK, and HS just don't have enough stuff right now. And everybody says MK is their favorite (again, not everyone but 99.9%).

And you are saying you're going to wait 6 days until you visit MK? And you're saying you're doing more waterpark days than MK days? That's a pretty unique touring plan.

I'd move MK up to day 2 and I"d do at least 3 MK days.

If nothing else, I don't understand why you would start Day 3 at the WP. Wouldn't it make more sense to hit AK first and make sure you did everything you wanted, and then go to the WP afterward (when the heat will be worse) if you still wanted to?

I'm not a water park fan. It doesn't matter where I am.

But I know that other people are.

With both of those in mind, I wouldn't recommend waiting until day 6 to hit MK. Small child especially, are going to be chomping at the bit to get to "the real Disney." I can't see putting them off for that long.

I'm not sure why you are doing all of your water park days in the beginning back to back to back. Any reason you aren't spreading them out?

With children the ages of yours like others have said drop the wp&m option and just hang out around the pool. I would however use those funds saved and add a couple more park days. The cost is marginal and you then have the option of going to a park for a half day and hanging out by the pool for the afternoon. Might be easier touring style for your young family.

For the record I am a huge waterpark fan. Might be more enjoyable for your family to wait a few years.

I love water parks, especially Disney water parks. But I have to agree with other posters, you'll be happier if you spread them out more, or do fewer days.
The water parks are exhausting. More so than walking the parks. All of the walking, stair climbing, and swimming against the resistance of the water will wear everyone out more than you will expect. To do back to back water park days could lead to cranky, worn out, tired kids before you reach the parks and possibly make those days less than magical.
Also, keep in mind that Florida is the thunderstorm capital of the world. As soon as the skies start rumbling and lightning strikes within 20 miles the water parks shut down and everyone gets ushered toward the front of the park to wait it out, so it's wise to have a back up plan or a half day plan in case your day gets cut short. Perhaps Disney Springs in the afternoon, or MK in the evening for parade and fireworks.

As far as preferences, nobody here can give you the answer. It's your choice. If you want to save MK for last, go for it. For our family, it's tradition to start every trip with MK, but that's just us. Do what you want.

I will disagree with most here and say I see no reason at all not to do a water park 3 days in a row. There is a fair amount of indifference or dislike of water parks by many here. I don't share that feeling. Their water parks are awesome and if you guys enjoy water parks, then you'll have a great time because they're 100 times better than any hotel pool. I also don't think it's any more difficult to watch small kids there than in any of the 4 parks. We just went for a 17 day trip and went to water parks 8 or 9 times total. I don't recall if we did 3 days in a row, but we did 2 days in a row several times (though we typically did AM water park and PM theme park). If someone were a first time visitor to WDW and only had 3 or 4 days, then I would agree with skipping the water parks because as awesome as they are, I think you should see the 4 theme parks first. But if you're not a first timer and/or have a long trip planned, then the water parks are a "must" for me.

My only suggestion is to make sure you or your group won't get too tired toward the end. Otherwise, go for it!!

Each person is different. Only you can decide if you want that many days at water parks. Maybe you love water parks whereas I could careless about them. (Been going to WDW for 20+ years and haven't gone to water park yet; but I don't frequent them at home either.) I would, however, alternate them between parks days and not do them all at once. It will give you some downtime from all the walking.

There's nothing like putting your feet up in the lazy river as an afternoon break! A great way for the whole family to relax before dinner. You could even use the water parks to break up your days (although be aware that transportation does take some time, with a car and especially if relying on Disney transportation).

I wouldn't want to entertain 2-2 year olds at a water park all day. We like the water parks but my kids are older. I would of found it very annoying to occupy very young children, you will have to run after them all day.

I'm not a huge water park fan, even though Disney's are probably the best there are. However I do think they could be waste of time and money for the 2-year olds. The 7 and 8 year olds might enjoy them, but honestly unless they've already been to them before and are begging to go back, they won't miss them and will probably be happy just having the resort pool.
I'd get 7-day park hoppers and have a rest/resort day about day 5, and do the parks on days 2-4 and 6-9, doing FP+ in the first half of the day, taking midday lunch/pool/nap breaks as necessary, and revisiting whatever parks you want in the evenings. Schedule what parks and FP+ for the first half of each day, then let the evenings be less structured so you can have some flexibility to go back and revisit things you didn't get to or want to do again, etc.
And I personally think of MK as "the real Disney" still, like another poster mentioned, and would want it to be the first thing I visit and the last thing I see before I leave.

I would drop the water park option. Going to a water park with a 2 year old is not fun IMHO. I would just stick to the resort pool. Less money, less hassle and, for a two-year old, same amount of fun. I also wouldn't do Disney Quest with 2 year olds. I would suggest dropping WPF&M and possibly adding a few more days to your park tickets.
