Is this too much work?

Currently my DH and DD2 and DD4 are booked for two nights at AKL and then we move to Cypress Pointe for a 2 week stay. We are coming in early due to flight prices/changes, etc... so we are getting two nights on-site now! Yeah! Anyway... my husband would love to stay near the boardwalk one night. (We have to stay at the AKL the second night b/c my parents are meeting us there). If we stayed at the Swan the first night we would save $100 and we could check out the boardwalk, eat at Spoodles, etc... But it would mean we would have to check in for one night, check out the next morning and move to AKL. THen after one night at AKL we would check out and move to the condo. Is this too much moving?
(We would only bring a small suitcase with stuff for the two nights into the room since we will have a rental cal and can leave the rest of the luggage in the trunk).
Also, if we stayed at the Swan does anyone know if they have bedrails for the beds?

That would be too much moving for me (when I do a split stay, I am not comfortable unless I can stay at least three nights in each resort), but I'm not you. You can still check out the Boardwalk while staying at AKL, so not sure why you think staying in the area is necessary to visit it. In the end, only you know for sure what will work for you.

Too much moving in my opinion. If you want to check out the Boardwalk, go there one day or night after Epcot or DHS, just walk or boat over, eat at Spoodles if you like and walk or boat back to one of those parks to catch the bus back to your resort.

We've done split stays before but usually for least 3 nights each. The main problem I see is you will be without a room for the mid portion of the day for 2 days straight. You'll have no place to return to if you need a break.

And I love AKL so I would pick 2 days there!:lovestruc

I also agree about it being too much moving.

As others have mentioned, the BW is just a short walk from the WS section of Epcot. Why don't you stay an extra night at AKL?

Way too much moving for me.
As an earlier poster said, you would not have a room during the day if you wanted a break. With the ages of your little ones an afternoon nap might be important.
Just head over to the Boardwalk and enjoy.

Since you have a place to keep the majority of your stuff, I don't see a problem. A bit of a hassel, but saving a nice chunk rocks!:thumbsup2

especially with kids.......
no place in afternoon to rest:love:
