While checking out guest rooms today I came across three rooms where you had to pay to ride, play or race. Not the usual, pay or leave so you can stay in the game, no, this was pay to just be here? This just isn't very fun at all. Maybe I'm used to playing weekdays when there are less mean players on. :confused3 Anyone come across these rooms?

sometimes i do. but then i leave.

Not me I never even browse the popular guest rooms list, nope i just sit in my room and wait for a tester to make it over at seldom lol

I don't like it either. Pay to enter?? I mean come on people! I don't mind the games like falling chairs that you can either pay or leave the game or watch, because you have a choice, but paying to enter is just wrong!

I had to pay after a doctor for advice in a Doctors Office room. I did not mind to pay, but he demanded more and more stuff. It felt like extortion.

I've seen these rooms before,

Personally, I never pay to enter a room or to even play a game. Even if they are giving prizes.
IMO, If they want to give out prizes, then they need to pony up the dough themselves. In my view, it's just wrong to "charge" people in a "free" game.

So my rooms will never have a "charge" for any reason.

Yup! I've seen these pay rooms myself! Funny....as soon as they notice I am a Community Leader, they let me stay for free! Of course, this is when I tell them that I can't stay because I don't believe anyone should have to pay, and then leave! LOL So, my advice? Leave those rooms. They will soon learn that sitting in an empty room is no fun at all! :rotfl2:

Not that I do it, but I can kind of see why people might "charge" for entrance.
I created a game room and this is what I have to do to create it:
1) Play Hyperspace mountain until I win room
2) Use credits to buy any needed furniture
3) Think up almost 80 different vmk trivia questions, translate them into VMK speak, and type them out
4) Buy prizes
5) Spend my time running game room for hours

What do I get:
1) Some appreciative players,
but
2) Hurt hands from all the typing
3) People who shout out the answers, ruining the game
4) People who threaten to report you because you won't let them play next or won't repeat the question because they were busy typing nonsense while sitting in the "hot seat"

So since you give much, and get little, I can see that you might want to charge a little bit to help pay for prizes and to make sure only people that really want to be there are there. But, I don't, so all the new players can have a chance to play and win.

Okay, maybe you win Best Game Room after all!! :-)

I once came across a maze and you had to pay to play. After three times,I made it,and no prize! It is so unfair! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have one of them was that i pay a quest item for a chance of winning a few cheap pins

I had to laugh and laugh I did, for quite awhile I might mention, when I happened to come across a room that said Come and See Sand a, then the description went on to say something to the effect of....Pay to see Santa, tell him what you want, everyone will be given a gift and you can pick anything in the room you want

Where is the logic here?

I have seen alot of pay to play rooms also and I too, do not bother to enter them. I have no problem with playing a game and then having the option to pay to stay for another chance. If you want to take a chance, its up too you. It is not like paying to enter and you have no idea what you are walking blindly into.

VMK is just a game, it is suppose to be fun and most rooms are fun but you have to enter each with caution because what some people say, they do not do.

That's just stupid. Why do they thing that by making people pay to enter they're going to get many people in their rooms? All in all, this idea is completely usless and those who make the rooms fail to realize that.

I haven't seen many rooms like that. If they start to erupt with those rooms, I am going to have to start doing my free race again.
