Is This The Best Price/Resort We Can Get?

Okay, all of you who know your resort costs, ticket costs, etc., here is a question for you.

We are going July 1- 9 to POR. We have a family of 5. 2 adults, 3 children (10, 8, 4).

We are paying $1149.84 for the room and $1092.00 for the tickets (park hopper) through AAA.

Can we do any better, or is this the best?

I was hoping for a code, but nothing....

Can't help you out on the pass prices. I'm not sure what type of MYW passes you have gotten. But, we are staying at POR from 6/24-6/26 and I'm paying $121. a night with the AP rate. So, your rate isn't way out of line. There haven't really been any terrific resort rates so far this year. Evidently WDW doesn't need to lower those rates.

You might want to post your ticket question on the theme parks board for your ideas.

I think you are getting the best deal possible on the tickets. As for POR, we had June 20th - 27th booked at POR for $88 per night including tax but it was because we got an email with a pin number. Due to a change in plans we tried to move our reservations up to arrival on June 6th and stay that week but there was nothing available with our pin rate. :sad2: I asked what resorts they did have available with my pin discount (values and other mods are out since we are family of 5) for the new dates and we are staying at BWI at a decent rate but a LOT more than what we were going to pay. So since you didn't get an email with a pin I think you got the best rate for those dates unless a code comes out. I hope it does for you. HTH.

Thanks for the help. I am fine with what we have - this is only our 2nd trip, so I wanted to make sure we weren't spending too much. I can just hope for a pin/code, but probably won't get one with us leaving in 2 months ( :cool1: ). Oh well. Thanks!

Did you try calling and asking if one is associated with your name in their system? We (as well as many others) did not receive an e-mail or a postcard but did have a pin associated with our name and were able to get the discout.

Im glad I read this post. We are not going until 2006, but will be going through AAA probably so now I have some sort of idea what it will cost us for our room and tickets...LOL

I did call to see if I had a code/discount by my name, and they said I did not. :sad2: They were very reluctant to even check because we had gone through AAA. Is that the norm? Do they usually make you go through your AAA agent after you have booked through AAA to see if you can get a better deal? :confused3 I thought that they would at least see if they could do better. Maybe not....

Unfortuantely once you've booked with AAA, in general DRC CM's can't tell you anything about your existing reservation. It's considered a 3rd party booking, and they can't see it (most of the time)

FYI to all -- you can get a AAA discount by calling CRO directly. Get the lowest rate available, then ask them if they can add a AAA discount. We currently have Wilderness Lodge for two nights in August for $177/night (down from $194 without the AAA discount). Hoping for an AP rate or some generous in-laws to donate DVC points, but I can live with what we've got now.

That is correct for a room only discount. For a AAA package the guest still needs to go thru their AAA agent, or a Specially Trained CM. :)
