Would I be able to visit Griffith Observatory, La Brea Tar Pits and take a Warner Brothers tour in one day? Or is this too ambitious?

I was thinking of going first to La Brea Tar Pits
Maybe stopping at the Farmers Market
Heading to an afternoon studio tour at Warner Brothers
and then heading to Griffith Observatory.

That might be possible if you start early enough. I remember a long time ago looking into a studio tour at Warner. I think it was something you have to book ahead of time, nothing like Universal where it's an attraction. And I think it wasn't necessarily something that ran throughout the day. Mind you this was a long time ago so I could be totally wrong now. But something you should definitely look into. Griffith after that would work. I'd say it would depend on what time you can take the Warner tour. It would make more sense to do Tar pits then Griffith and just keep going over the hill to Burbank for the tour, otherwise you're going back and forth. Anyway, hope this helps.

I think you would be cutting a lot of attractions short by such a tight timeline...skip Farmers Market maybe?
