Is this safe?

I have an inordinate amount of electronic stuff to take, and the leads/chargers etc for it all. Phone, laptop, mp4, camera, battery charger, etc. :scared1:

Do you think it would be safe to take a UK-type strip of 4 sockets and plug it into the hotel room electric socket with an adaptor? Im guessing the room will have 2 sockets at most, which will not be enough if everything runs out of charge at one time.

Yes, yes & yes

We do it all the time - in Europe and USA. Can't confirm if it is safe but we haven't had a problem ;)

I've wondered about this too, I've always been worried it would blow up the socket or something, so I'm glad to see someone else has tried it first!

Can I just suggest that you pop in a car charger for your phone as you might find it doesn't charge up well/quickly with the voltage thingy, thats a girly technical term!

:rotfl2:

We always take battery chargers etc and use an adapter to charge and have never had a problem. :goodvibes

Only problem I know of with electical items in US is the Motorola v220. its a known problem with Motorola but not all v220's only some of them, They wont charge at all, we had to buy a US charger for it off ebay.

I managed to convince DH to buy me the new MK4 GHD's for my birthday which have dual voltage. Otherwise I would have to hide under a hat for the whole holiday!!

Had never thought of bringing a gang, it's a really good idea, thanks!

Hi
Are the GHDs a real problem my DD won't leave her room unless she's used them :(

I personally felt that I may as well have not brought my older GHD's on our last trip, hardly heated up at all. My ones here were starting to go a bit dodgy which is why I got the MK4's, but you could easily pick up a cheaper set out there.

Has anyone else had problems charging phones in WDW? My samsung last year just didnt charge so i had to turn it off and just use it when needed?

Do i need to buy a USA adaptor for it?

Which model Samsung? just got D900 for DW. Hope that is ok or we will have to go looking for a charger over there, won't hold its charge for 25 nights way she uses it.:rotfl:
