DH and I are going to WDW in May w/my parents. We have never been there this time of year and we're not sure what to expect. We usually take an early flight, but this time it was much cheaper to take an afternoon flight, so we won't be landing in Orlando until 5:30pm. We're staying at OKW so we'll be taking the Magical Express to the resort, and plan on getting right into a park. We're thinking maybe EPCOT so we can see Illuminations... although part of me wants to head straight into the MK-- but this will be a Saturday night... What are your thoughts? :confused3

Normally we just spend our arrival day at our resort, maybe going to DD or resort hopping. But DH ended up getting 7 day passes b/c they we're only a few dollars more than the 4-5 day passes, and my parents have APs.

TIA!

Personally, I would start at MK.... to me it just doesn't sink in that I'm at Disney until I see Cindy's castle! Who knows why?!?! LOL :confused3

But, it would also be nice to start out at EPCOT or DD just to have something to do at a slow pace, nice and relaxing.... it would really keep you ready to go for that first full day in the park the next day.

Have you talked to your parents yet to ask what they prefer? They might opt for the second option as well just to keep from being too pooped too quickly!

I think going to Epcot and watching Illuminatoins is a great idea. Maybe you could take a monorail ride too around the resorts and see the MK. Then you can hop on the Epcot Monorail. Have a great time. We will be there a month after you :)

I would check to see which park has the extended hours for the evening.
