Okay, I just have to share. I am five days away from our Universal vacation and we cannot wait. My wife, myself and son are so excited and here is the kicker: We live about 45 minutes away. However, after researching, my wife and I decided to make it a small vacation and stay on site for the front of the line access. We have not been to Universal since 99 when IOA opened and we just cannot wait. The time cannot pass quick enough. Some people may think this is weird, but we are just so excited and I could be staying two minutes away from home, but if I am with my wife and son and there is no work to be found, I am in heaven.

So is this normal and does anyone feel this way about their vacation?

Thanks-this board gives me my temporary Universal fixes!!!

My husband, son and I stayed at Hard Rock last year and had a blast. The front of the line access was great. It was a very relaxing trip compared to some of our Disney trips where we sometimes try to do too much. You will have a great time.

That eager anticipation is a common thing. For my trip to NY in 2001, I felt the same way. Granted, the situation was different, the excitement was still there.

Normal. :D And by the time you get back you'll already be planning the next one.

Okay, I was here in January, April, May, June, and I'm here on my laptop right now and YES, I get excited everytime I come!

Yes, VERY normal!
