Is this normal procedure?

We are going to be on the dining plan for our October trip so I called last month to book ADRs. We are using 2 table services for the Luau, but I had to give my credit card to hold the reservation. When I received my bill this month I have already been charged for the Luau on my card. Is this right? TIA

If you made the reservation online, sometimes it does not operate properly and does not register at the time you made a reservation that you have a dining plan.

If you made it by phone, sometimes the phone CMs make mistakes and bill you when you shouldn't have been billed.

Only way to change it now is to cancel and rebook the reservation. If you don't want to chance that, you can wait until you arrive or pick up the tickets for the show, then specify that you intend to pay with dining credits and you will be refunded then.

O.K. Thank you. The CM that I talked to told me exactly the same thing about needing to cancel and then re-book and since the reservations were hard to get I decided to just wait until we go, but sometimes you can talk to three different CM's and get three different answers so I decided to check here. Always wonderful information from those who have "been there and done that" . I just really found the whole thing odd, because I have never had that happen before. Thanks again
