This is just a fact, and not meant to alarm anyone. I was checking my room-only reservation online, last week, and my info was totally incorrect. My three night reservation was for $1,004. with my
AAA discount at the Beach Club. It was listed online totalling over $2,000. Shocked , I called Disney. I was told I did not have a AAA discount and my reservation was not over $2,000, but actually I had booked the rack rate. I started over with them. I asked for the AAA discount on the Beach Club. They said there was availability in a studio. I booked it. Again the total was $1,004. I said O.K. I was given a new confirmation #. I later that day checked online that day to print out the confirmation. I was now shocked worse! It now showed a $3,000+ total. I called Disney again. They were very nice. They assured me this time, that I did have a studio booked at the AAA rate. My total was $1,004. Thy told me my actual balance, and that it was not due untiil check-in. I, of course, asked for it in writing. What happened to that being standard practice? I noticed that with the popularity, and accessability of the computer, Disney has stopped sending out such things as confirmation letters automatically. I got my new confirmation letter the other day. Total $1,004. So call Disney. Get it in writing. Disney could not explain the outrageous quote on it's website. I check it everyonce in a while, just out of curiosity. It still says th$3,000+ amount. Somekind of computer error. They can't explain it. So get it in writing, just to be sure. But I always ask. Room reservations are paid on arrival, when they are room only. Not Meant to Alarm Anyone.
